Q: Is it really only 1.8" in depth, as said in the "Product Details" above?

It's 2" in depth. I measured it from the inside.

Q: What kind of non-stick coating does the pan have? It looks like bare metal in the photos.

There is NO non-stick coating -- so you have to butter/flour VERY well -- miss a spot and lose part of your cake. Otherwise, it's a great pan -- heavy, well-made, durable. I have had good results once I paid strict attention to the butter/flour prep.

Q: How many cups can this pan hold? Thanks

It will hold six cups at rim level. This should be included in the description. When I ordered the item, it ended up being exactly like one I already had in my pantry. It is a nice one.

Dear Valuew Costumer as per the dimentions are the fallowing Heavy aluminum construction Not dishwasher safe - hand wash 32 oz. Capacity Size is 9 1/4" the hole looks aproximately 3" inc Made in France We also do not have the serving size for this item as well. That would differ based on the way you slice the item you plan to bake. Depends on the thickness of your slice. I hope this information was very helpful
