Incredibly strong and feels safe
This spring compressor is a true gem among the often lackluster options you can find for rent at places like Autozone or Oreillys. Right from the moment you lay your hands on it, you can sense the difference in quality and robustness. It's as if this tool was designed with the utmost precision and durability in mind, unlike those tired, abused rentals that make you question your safety.I couldn't have been more pleased with its performance. It handled a range of spring types, from the X5 and 4Runner to the burly 2500 HD truck, with remarkable ease. Using it, I felt a level of safety that I had never experienced with rental compressors. It's like having a dependable partner in the garage, ready to take on even the most challenging suspension tasks without breaking a sweat. While this compressor exudes reliability, it's paramount to exercise caution and never place your face or fingers in harm's way during operation. It's a tool to be respected, and your well-placed warning serves as a reminder of that. It's a worthwhile investment that not only delivers peace of mind but also exceptional results. If the need arises, I'd undoubtedly purchase this compressor again.

Simple, stable spring compressor
I have two sets of lower cost spring compressors, including a name brand, which flex and slip when compressing springs. I wanted something better, but for a reasonable price. I was willing to pay the normal asking price for these, but was a little skeptical since they look so much like other tools that cost far less. When the price mysteriously dropped in half one day, I quickly bought them before the price changed again (I have recently experienced rapid, unexplained price fluctuations on Amazon). Though they are slightly different than similar models I see on Amazon, with an unused section in the storage case that another brand uses, it seems apparent that perhaps this is mostly the same tool with a few slight changes. Still, I like the way these clamp onto the spring (three jaws compared to the cheaper version with two), and though I don't know how long the vinyl will last, the covered jaws do grip better than bare metal. With my other compressors it is a constant fight to avoid slipping and a little fear is involved as the threaded rods bend. With these, there was no slipping and no bending. Compressing the springs was as easy as turning the bolts. With the threads well greased, little effort was required and there was no apparent wear on the tool after its first three uses.

Compressed my 600 lb coils
Used this set to compress my Fox 2.5 600 lb coils to adjust preload on my 2014 Tacoma. It was simple enough and worked just fine. I used my socket wrench to turn each side evenly. It didn’t take long at all to do.I think if someone was really concerned about this product, they could order two set of this kit and just use 3 of the 4 compressors to compress the coil. Which is similar to the typical mechanic shop type. But again, no issues with this kit. I thought it was very well made and heavy duty.

But it seems like not too many review about it
I just work on 2001 Civic strut spring compress! The ball bearing thread make it really ease on compressing the spring flawlessly and effortlessly! Make sure put some moly or lithium grease on thread before use! I m not sure it can handle big heavy duty truck spring! It is very versatile and portable! ! (Made in Taiwan). I wish they can come out with a bigger, stronger, longer reach arm version ! This product has been out for long time and there is Youtube video too! But it seems like not too many review about it! Compare to those nice pro big name strut compressor, this tool is pretty handy for DIY !

This is the original. Very High quality.
Made in Taiwan. This is the original design of this kind of spring compressor. Very high quality material. The knock off brands are not the same. They do looks the same, but when you have them side by side you see the difference in quality. The SPC spring clamps are way a lot better. Not casted with cheaper materials like other brands ( that may break easier). It gives me a lot more confidence for sure, compared to the cheaper knock off brand which I had before. Should have gotten this in 1st time. You get what you pay for.

Can do a large spring
These spring compressors is are very smooth in operation because of thrust bearings. Construction is very good. I had no trouble compressing the springs on a 2004 Honda Pilot. These are pretty good sized truck springs. Just keep the compressor threads greased good and there is no problem. The spring perch on those Pilot struts are a little wide, so I did have to use a pry bar on the coils and a mallet to tap the compressor into position with 4 coil engagement. Once installed in good position, these compressors gave me no trouble compressing and transferring the spring to the new struts. I would recommend these.

It Works Like A Champ!
I spent hours looking for a pair of spring compressors and found these. When I used them they did not feel flimsy or cheap. they are very well made and definitely worth the money.

Seemed well made and the clamping feature gave more safety than the ones I remember using in 79
Product design and build quality seemed more than expected. I used them on Miata springs so there was not a lot of load on the compressors but it did the job I wanted done with an additional safety feature.
