Great Easy to Use Water Based Finish
We were looking for a low VOC water based finish for an apartment renovation. The products at the large home stores were cheaper but the reviews were mixed. Did some research and decided this was the best option. After sanding the floor and vacuuming it well, I applied the first coat with a lamb wool applicator. Took my time making sure I covered everything and didn't leave any puddles. In hindsight a roller my have been a better option for application. No smell and product looked like a thick, milky substance. The lambs wool easily cleaned up with water and I kept in a moist plastic bag so it wouldn't harden up. As per the picture attached it went on clear and didn't change to red. Because I applied it late at night I had to return the next day for the 2nd coat. It didn't raise the grain of the wood as was my fear. I applied a 2nd coat and used a lot less then the 1st coat as it didn't absorb as much on the raw wood.Returned on the 3rd night and applied the 3rd and final coat. It looks amazing. No smell or complaints from other tenants. Easy to work with. Dries to hard and flawless finish. Obviously the durability will be tested over time. As far as value is concerned, this product is more expensive but it is a quality product and not worth the chance putting a cheaper product that I may have had to sand out and remove.

DIY'er Approved
This finish is exactly what I was hoping to find. The end product came out perfect. The level of gloss (satin) looks great on my 100 year old fir floors. I am impressed how easily it went on having never finished or even sanded a floor myself. The self leveling was very good without any fussing around. I also used their sealer prior to finish

Easy to apply - Fast Drying
Even with the oak floor sanded to 100 Grit this product tends to raise the grain of the wood. Not sure if this is specific to the Bona product or if other competing products do the same thing.Overall, the product went down easy and looks great! Too early to tell how durable it will be, but I wanted to try Bona as it was substantially less money than another brand I have used before.

Excellent
Recommended by another contractor. Used on white oak floor. Very high traffic; yard/firewood dirt, snow melt, cats. Lays out super. Even late fall application in a cold room, dried great in a few hours, first coat. My floors are a variety of grain positions, flat and edge. First coat filler, with Bona applicator, brush cut in. It'll look ugly as it soaks in. Screen with a 16"x22" orbital pad, 400grit. Second coat flew on. Screen second. Third coat looks great. Used Satin. Use good side lighting to observe coverage rate. Be aware, at turn with applicator, build up shows a little, but then those thicker areas will dry a little slower. DO NOT RE-BRUSH unless you have a helper to immediately catch those. You get one pass, overlap the wet, keep going. It you get a drip, brush it with a 3" nylon. Don't make it prefect. It skins over very quickly. Apply on a warm but hot or humid day. Open doors or windows to get the humidity out. Walk on in socks/screenvacuum, in 2 hrs. Apply wearing clean socks on your feet. Not shoes. Shoes will leave marks. Serviceable walk on in 4-5 hrs depending relative humidity. Well worth the price. Nearly zero odor. Pet safe. I just shut the cats up elsewhere. With this stuff you can now work in the winter months if you need to. Oil based would not be fun. Product holding up great after three months down.

Nice
Turned out very nice. Put on 3 coats with light sanding in between each coat. We decided to keep the no stain look to make the place brighter and very glad we did. The natural look with this satin tone turned out so much better than expected on this 100 year old floor. I will buy this brand from now on when I do more floors like this.

It seems to cure very hard and durable. Application ...
It seems to cure very hard and durable. Application without brush strokes and roller texture can be challenging especially at higher temperatures. I will continue to use this product due to its durability and ease of clean up.
