Since your is black with gray, I'd go two shades lighter. It depends on what color you want. I did for my hair and it came out fine for me. Good luck 🌺🌺.

That's right it is darker if you leave it on, the light chestnut doesn't work for me, it's too light. Use the #48. It is to be on for 40 mins, sometimes you'll get an allergic reaction so don't over process it. You also can mix two colors together to get right shade.
