Columbia Coolhead Ii Zero Booney

Great hat, I use it working as a landscaper in Florida heat and sun this summer. I've tried many other styles of hats from high quality straw to to ball caps and this one works best. The high quality materials Columbia uses does something the others do not.Effectively blocks sun from face and the handy neck flap is perfect.The material breathes and is still comfortable after wearing all day.Will take some light rain but does get soaked after steady rain exposure.Might not be the best choice if riding a mower because of the floppy style brim but the choice is yours.The brim protects face and head when working up close with bushes ,trees etc.Hat has held up well after months of daily use in high heat, some days 97 with heat index 112.Material is soft and comfy with adjustable band for fit.Best work hat I've owned, mine is olive green and I love it. Also folds for packing.Will buy another for casual wear

I cannot rave enough about this hat. I have had mine for years and I bring it on every hiking trip or outdoors adventure that I go on. It’s super lightweight and breathable. Has a cover on the back to shield your neck from the sun - you can easily tuck it away if you don't want to use it. The rim of the hat is just the right size that it protects your whole face from the sun but at the same time does not obstruct your view. I have tried on many hats and none comes even close to how good this one is. Checked off all the boxes. I bought the same hat for my parents too and they love theirs as well.

We bought two hats, and although supposed to be one size they were not the same. Fortunately one of us has a bigger head than the other so we were able to work with it. If just buying one you may need to return and try again, don't give up, don't assume if one hat does not fit, none of them will.There is plenty of adjustment with a cord and bungy around the hat band and we were both happy after playing around with it to get it just right.We wore them first time in temperatures in the low 70's, under trees most of the time. A four mile hike about 1.5 hours including stops to admire the waterfalls.The crown is definitely cooling, none of that hot head feel you can get when wearing a hat. But we found upon removing the hat that we were "glowing" where the hat band had been, but we had not noticed until we removed our hats. The top of the crown is solid, so no issue if not too much hair there, it is the sides of the crown that let air through.The brim did a good job of keeping the sun off our faces and back of the neck.We tested how the neck cover would look, but then refolded it and tucked it back in the little pocket in the brim. Love this feature, those neck covers look goofy so it is really nice to be able to tuck it out of sight when not needed.We like that the edge of the brim is soft, so the brim has quite a bit of give to it, and it frames the face nicely.Overall very happy.

Nice wide brim for working outside. Great for hiking. The neck gator is great for covering your neck. Wet it with water and it helps with cooling.Three years of a use and still going strong. Needs hand washed to keep odors down. To be expected working outside for a living.

This looks good, is very lightweight and covers well. However, it's a little floppier than I expected; thought it would be a little more structured. Bought for a male relative and his wife loves it; she uses it more than he does!

I guess I like them a lot. I now own four of them. They last a long time and look good.

This hat is perfect for shading your face and neck from the sun. The fabric and color are light and it can be adjusted to fit.

This hat is well built offers good shade. When dipped in water makes you feel cooler.
