Y the Last Man Omnibus

Its heavy! Very heavy!!
This book is huge. My son bought it for my birthday. The only way I could read it was with a cushion on my lap for it to rest on. There's no way it can be held up and read. The artwork is perfect for the story. I've read Akira and Geoff Darrow work and your slowed down so much looking at all the intricate details, but this is (with much respect) very functional, and allows you to make this a real fast page turner. The painted covers at each chapter are very good.Because the story is fast paced. It's brilliant. You see something being cued up in the plot and you think this will take ages to be unraveled and then it's over in the next chapter. There's a part in the book where one of the characters is talking about a story saying its got 'spacemen, pirates and robots', and you realize that's what your reading! It sounds bizarre, but it really is excellent writing. The end is quite quiet and melodramatic, but it is a good ending. I didn't realize how much it had affected me but for 2 things:1: After a major reading session I went out for a walk and was a little shocked when I saw another man!2: When I had finished reading the book and told my wife what had happened I started crying, it was so moving.

One of the greatest comics of all time
So the omnibus I received has the cover bound upside down. Doesn't matter. Paid a good price for a copy of one of the greatest comics of all time. Not too many comics have made me emotional like this one does.

Great deal! Great read!
So after watching season 1 of Y THE LAST MAN. and THEN discovering it was canceled, I had to know the rest of the story. Prices were jacked up on the graphic novels and I wasn't willing to pay $200 for 1 graphic novel with 10 stories in it. THEN, the omnibus came out and that was great. Got it for a great price, free shipping and fast delivery. The 1st day it arrived I was astounded that it was 1440 pages of full color graphics with words. I read about 500 pages the first day and couldn't put it down. The story makes you think what if? and the horrifying implications if an event like this ever happened. So the story was great with way more detail than the show, multiple twists and turns and overall a great read. So I got to read the whole story and throughly enjoyed it. Definitely worth the money!

Stupendous humongous Y the Last Tank 🪖
You can't but love these Bookzillas. Huge comic book sized hardcovers with sleeve, quality is pretty good and as said, built like a tank. And if you get them on one of their numerous discounts, you get a lot of good quality paper and ink for your money. As for the story, it's one of the staples of Vertigo, so if you like comics, it doesn't get better than this and others from the best comic label that ever existed.
