Q: The posts has two string holes, why is that?

You run the string through the first hole, wrap it around the post once and then run it through the second hole. This essentially 'locks' the string in place. Cut off the excess string and you're done, no more winding require, just tune to pitch. These are locking tuners that don't rely on a mechanical lock. They work great, make string changes a breeze and are an elegant solution.

Q: I am putting these on a squire affinity tele i need to enlarge the post holes what size bit do i need?

I also want upgrade my Squire Tele Affinity. Did you end up putting these on your tele affinity? If so did you need to make the holes larger via10mm ? If not, which did you choose?

Q: Will they fit in a Yamaha Pacifica?

I don’t see why not however I e only used them on Strat and Tele style necks.

Q: will these fit vintage style hole size?

They fit a Mexican strat from the 90’s. Don’t know if it will older. They are ok. No real complaints. Feel a little cheap compared to the fender tuners but look good and are easy to use. I wrap the strings 2 times for the thicker ones and 3-4 times for the thinner ones. Stays in tune pretty well.
