Great grip even when raining
This worked great on our metal hand rail that was cold as ice and impossible to use in cold temperatures. But this tape changes all that it's warmer to the touch and the grip is superior.Buy enough to wrap around your hand rail in a spiral fashion. We did test it on a narrow hand rail we have by using it lengthways with a piece wrapped around at each end but it would not stick properly. Not that we expected it to but thought we would test it out anyway.

Handrail grip tape
I purchased this to add to a metal handrail on my front porch. The tape in not very pliable which made the installation crease in places and the adhesive is not holding at all. I am going to have to find something else to use in place of this. I cannot send this back for a refund as I did attempt to install. Wasted money

Adhesion suggestions
This worked well for me but for those who have had trouble adhering to complex surfaces, I have a few suggestions. Get yourself a heat gun, a hair dryer may work but it will take more time. I found that without using a heat gun, the tape always wants to return to it's original flat shape. By heating not only the top of the tape but also the adhesive on the backside the tape will form very nicely to almost anything and stick very aggressively. Just don't heat up so hot the texture of the tape is deformed. A little practice and you can get it. I used a cloth glove to push the hot tape down until it cooled and adhered. I also used 1" x 2" x 8" pieces of wood and clamps to hold tape in place while tape and glue cools . Worked great.

Good Grip
The tape is heavy duty which is a big plus in outdoor applications. The adhesive leaves a little to be desired. Otherwise a good product.

It doesn't stick nor wrap
I got this for exactly what the item says it is - a handrail grip but couldn't get it to work.It is a very nice thick tape but that works against using it - it's so thick and cushy that it has no give to it and can't be stretched to spiral wrap around the handrail. I wrestled with this for a half hour but the tape kept wanting to return to it's original shape. And didn't stick.I appreciate the money back but would rather have had a product that worked.

returning without using
i'm not going to even bother trying to use this. the grip side is definitely more plastic than rubber. seems to have no grip ability. i have no idea how the adhesive works. other have complained but using a hair dryer or heat gun should make it more pliable.
