Almost Perfect - Best all around gloves I've found. 4.5 Stars
First, I will say I am slightly disappointed that the gloves I purchased are made in China. (from what I found after some research) But I completely understand why - as the labor cost overseas, even when considering the additional cost of freight to the US are far less than overhead and labor costs required to manufacturer in the US - so the reasoning isn't lost on me.I'll start with the few negative observations, again based on real usage multiple times daily.- Sizing, the size chart is slightly off based on my measurements vs the particular pair of gloves I received, a size larger would have been better but a snug glove is fine with me.- Warmth; they start to lose some effectiveness as temperatures go lower than 35°F or 40°f with a breeze. They just aren't suitable for long exposure to temperatures (+wind) much lower that that.- Grip: they could use a more aggressive palm/finger texture in my humble opinion.- Capacitance; while they do work on my devices, the capacitive fabric is stiff, maybe due to being new, but it currently requires an unnatural finger position to get proper contact.- Insulation; there is a very noticeable lack of it between the fingers at the webbing of the hand. A small breeze can be felt easily at any temp and I suspect that has a lot to do with the lack of heat retention at lower temps. Those points aside I am very happy with them:They are stylish (though color choices would be nice). They are very comfortable. They are lightweight and warm for their weight. They do very well in light rain. They have the best in brand zippers. They are agile, tactile and dexterous enough to handle small items without having to remove them.Even though above I mentioned one issue is warmth, it should be noted that because they are not bulky and form to your hands nicely, they allow you to easily put your hands in coat pockets and the gloves warm up quickly. There are no perfect gloves to use for every occasion or every task, but these gloves are suitable for most moderately cool/cold weather activities, they are my go-to pair for just about everything outdoors. In fact, I may purchase a pair two sizes larger to use with glove liners for those colder days outdoors and our family's nightly walks. For me, these are almost perfect.

Made in china
Wow you got me good. Researched a bunch of different gloves and I was excited to find a pair that were made in USA.Yeah they do work fine but I was super disappointed to find the made in china tag especially after watching the video of the guy making is sound like there made in the mountains of Colorado. Im not sure what loophole they had to jump through but it just another example of misleading the consumer.

Love it kinda hate it too
Design and Material Ok, but still not warm enough. -10°C doesn't help at all, hand cold as ice. Isn't supposed to be made for mountain? Or maybe not for cold mountain.

Wow....awesome
Just received my Cold Weather Genesis gloves from Mountain Made and I'm a little blown away. Great quality and perfect weight for my late Winter/early Spring riding. Keeps dexterity with my fingers while being cozy and warm...wish I would've ordered these sooner!

Both Zippers Broke; Not As Warm As Expected.
I bought these gloves because I needed some warm gloves for my hour long walk every morning. When I first tried them on, I was pleased by how well they fit and how comfortable they are. And they kept my hands warm too. As it started to get colder outside (30s - 40s), my fingers pretty cold inside after about 10 minutes and stayed cold for about 15-20 minutes; but then I guess as my body generated more heat from the exercise, my fingers eventually warmed up again. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them a 9 for comfort and fit; and I'd give them a 6 or 7 for warmth. Unfortunately, after about a month, the zippers on both gloves broke. First it was the right hand. When I zipped it up, the zipper reopened in the middle. I tried unzipping and zipping it several times, played around with it quite a bit, and never could get the zipper to stay completely zipped up. After about a week, the zipper on the left glove came off entirely. I feel like the zipper teeth on these are too large for a glove and that may be part of why the zipper comes apart in the middle. My sleeping bag doesn't even have zipper teeth as big as these. Needless to say, these are on their way back; and I'm resuming my search for a warm pair of walking gloves.
