This item is great. It heats up fast and worked better than expected. I needed 6” styrofoam ball halves for a project and it was much cheaper to buy the balls and this foam knife and cut them myself than to buy the halves. And now I can make halves any time I need them! It took me a little practice to get the cut perfect because the knife cuts so well, it was faster than I originally expected so I wasn’t prepared for it to go through the styrofoam so easily. The only recommendation would be to add an indicator light to show when it is at temp or still hot. I was nervous to touch it after I unplugged it because I wasn’t sure how long it took to cool off.

Exactly what I needed and did a better job than I had hoped. I used it to cut thru 4" foam and it did it with ease. Highly recommend

As a STEAM teacher, I use a great deal of foam for projects and experiments. I bought this foam cutter and loved it...at first. It heated very quickly and was super easy to use. I've had it for less than a month, and the prongs on the plug in fell out. See picture. I did NOT yank it from the outlet. I always grab the black box and pull out carefully with all of my plug in devices. One of the prongs stuck in the outlet, and maintenance had to get it out. If it weren't for this, I'd give it 5 stars. I hope the company will replace this due to this default.

The media could not be loaded. Works great for my project, I am using 3/4” styrofoam panels for insulation around my home.

Go slow and take your time but this made this project much, much easier. I cut through a 10" memory foam mattress for my teen daughter that wanted her walking closet to be her bed closet. I have minimal clean up from cutting the foam. I would have had much much more if I used a knife.

This tool does not work. I attempted to use it on .5 in foam and it didn’t do anything. I’ll be returning it.
