Pleasantly Surprised!
I really wasn't sure what to expect from these based on the reviews I read on Amazon, but figured for the price I'll give it a try. I think these are really great! I wanted something that would keep my incredibly curious 1 year old out of the cabinets with various cleaning supplies but at the same time be easy enough for adults to operate on a regular basis. These are definitely winners! Someone else wrote that they are flimsy and / or that their toddler figured them out. Ok, if that is the case you have a genius and / or supremely strong kid on your hands. These cabinet locks are DEFINITELY strong, and even me pulling on the cabinet doors pretty roughly to test them didn't break them. I'm also not sure why some reviewers said they're short - unless your cabinet handles are exceptionally far apart, these will most likely fit (they do expand quite a bit!). I will say though that the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I think they are much better designed for your average cabinet handles and not for all drawer pulls. I have one cabinet with "mushroom" type pulls and they do not stay on well because the stem of the pulls is too short so these locks do not really stay on. For now I think it's fine to discourage my kid from wrestling with it, but I think eventually I'll need to get something else for that particular cabinet. All in all would highly recommend this product - great value for the price!

Good until they aren’t ..
I actually really love these. I purchased 2 or 3 packs & they’re my favorite out of all the different cabinet locks I have. I can open & close them with one hand. I also appreciate they’re one piece vs a different style I have that is two pieces where it has the latch that goes through the handle & the separate piece that slides over to lock it, a hassle as well as something easy to lose or have snatched by the cabinet raiding toddler. The two down sides:1. If the handles aren’t close enough then the lock barely can wrap around the handles, or won’t at all depending on handle spacing2. My toddler has broken at least half of the ones I’ve purchased (pulling on them while on the cabinet) because the plastic isn’t high quality or they’re just designed to where they break easily.Even though they break relatively easy I’d buy them again & would recommend :)

A yes for baby-proofing
I like these. Once you get the hang of them, adults can operate one-handed. Definitely better than others I've tried. They work smoothly. They can be broken if you grab both cabinet doors and yank very hard, so use these as a deterrent, but NOT to prevent child access to anything dangerous (chemicals, etc). I've purchased replacements once, but I think they had been put under unreasonable strain. The biggest drawback is that the heads of the screws (see pic) holding these together can damage the cabinet finish. This is fixed by always using these screws-side-out or by putting a small piece of moleskin over the heads of the screws.

Works only if ALL these measurements are satisfied
As a few others have pointed out, the product looks to be of decent quality. However, usage can be significantly limited due to size specifications of the lock.1. The distance between the two inner curved edges of the lock (designed to secure the cabinet door knobs together) extend from about 3.75 inches to 4.75 inches. If the distance between your door knobs is not within this range, you cannot get a snug fit.2. If the distance between the knobs is less than 3.75 in (upto 1.5 in), you may be able to use the lock provided the conditions below are met. But here is the problem I see with it: your child may not be able to totally separate the two cabinet doors, but because the loose fit of the lock allows for some play, the doors may give enough room (when pulled by the lock) for your kid to squeeze his/ her hand into the cupboard and get hurt3. The curved edges have an inner diameter of about 1 inch. If the mushroom knob has a larger head, then you will not be able to put the lock in place.4. The lock has a thickness of about 0.5 in. Unless the stem of the mushroom knob extends at least that much, the lock will be unusable (the lock design is such that it is 0.3 in thick at the curved edges and tapers up to 0.5 in at the extensible side, but because of the shorter tread of the extension, it does not make it any easier). Some D-shaped handles with thin frames may work with this lock. I ran out of luck with every single cabinet that I wanted to secure in my home; and so, these are going back. It would really help if the product description included the range that the lock can accommodate.

Does the job without damage to my cabinets or hands!
We've got many cabinets around our house, most of which are with the standard two adjacent knobs. Our younger kids are aged 5, 3, and 1, and we are pretty much at the point now where we've tried everything. On the cabinets where our clever 5-year-old isn't even allowed in, I use the more complex safety locks that involve pushing two buttons, breaking off a nail, and painfully pinching at least two of your fingers simultaneously. However, we also have cabinets that I just want our little one to stay out of to avoid messes (i.e., kitchen cabinets and toy storage), and I refused to subject myself to constant torture from the Safety 1st contraptions. These simple slide locks are PERFECT, because he can't get into the cabinets, yet it is a simple press and slide action for me to get to things. Again, not recommended for cabinets where dangerous chemicals or tempting tidbits for older kids would be kept, but GREAT for areas that you need quick access to!

Concept is good
I didn't do a good enough job in researching my own cabinet handles before I ordered these, so I found out that they were the wrong size for my application. Oops. So, while we don't use them in our kitchen, I did find that they were super for keeping my twin boys from letting the puppy out of his kennel without permission. lol The concept is just fine, and they are a lot sturdier than the locks that we are using at the moment. I just wished that they would have worked better with our specific cabinet handles/ lengths. Again, not a fault of the product. It was all user error when ordering. :)

Super easy to use
Love these! So easy to use! Open and close them with ease. Not too complicated like some other ones. Affordable as well. Great buy.

Not my first purchase of these.
Less frustrating than other baby cabinet locks. They work great, have them on all the cabinets and it keeps the 3 1/2 year old and 20 month old out.
