It was July 31st, 2019, my family and I were in Brooklyn, New York visiting my grandparents. We realized it was easier to fly there since it is a fourteen-hour drive from Georgia to New York. We figured we did not need to rent a car because we were either going to uber or drive my grandfather’s car (which is a 1998 Honda Accord). One afternoon we decided to go shopping, we got into my grandfather's car and we became aware that the AC was not working, keep in mind that it is ninety degrees outside. The mall was only ten minutes away, so we decided to go anyways. We sure regretted that, instead of taking ten minutes it took us about twenty-five because of New York’s traffic. At the end of the car ride we were all sweaty, uncomfortable, and never wanted to get back in that car. Because I am a genius, I went on Amazon and purchased a portable fan. It was a great purchase because the shipping was fast, affordable, the description was accurate, and the quality and functionality was great.I ordered two portable fans for $16.99 on July 31st and it arrived on August 2nd. We were lucky that the shipping was fast because we used that fan for the other five days that we were on vacation. Seventeen dollars can seem like a lot of money; however, I feel like we got our money's worth from those fans. If you think about it, we basically paid seventeen dollars for AC in the car. We also used the fans in my grandparents' house, which was also hot since they do not have central air. The size of the fan was also true to size. They were the perfect size, small enough to where we could hold and carry them and big enough for us to feel the air blowing.Unlike some other products you buy from Amazon the portable fans description was accurate. It said how it was perfect for both inside and outside, which was true because when we used the fan in and outside it worked great. It being portable was also accurate to description because the fans were light and small enough to carry around. They also did not try and hide the fact that the two d-cell batteries that are needed for the fans to work are not included. The quality and functionality were also great in this product. The fans had two different settings which was nice because it allowed us to be in control. Some people might think for seventeen dollars that the fans quality might not be good, but to us they worked great. They are made from good material and the air that blows from it is strong.In conclusion, I give the portable fans 5 stars. It really made our trip in New York better; we did not have to be sweaty and uncomfortable in my grandparent's car and house. The price of the fans is totally worth $16.99. The shipping was fast, the package only took two days to arrive and we were able to use it as soon as we got it. The description was accurate because the fans were portable, they had different settings, and they did not include the two d-cell batteries. The quality and functionality were also great. The fans cooled us down and they never stopped working. If you are looking to buy two good portable fans that are not super expensive, I believe that this item is for you. You will truly be satisfied and not regret buying these fans.

Hubby is always hot and wanted a powerful, battery operating fan. We bought one similar to this that takes 4 D cell batteries. Tried this one - only uses 2 D cell batteries and is more powerful / longer lasting then the first. Both were had same sized face at 5". This one takes up less space and is lighter in weight. Bought a second one of this version too. GREAT LITTLE FAN!

I purchased this fan for use during a power outage. Everything I have is USB powered or electric, so I wanted something that ran solely on batteries in case of a power outage.This fan takes 2 D size batteries, the battery case is what makes up the base of the fan, so the base is weighted and sets up well. The fan tilts and has two speeds. It's very quiet on the lowest speed and although you can hear it at high speed it's not that noticeable.The tilt feature actually folds the fan almost flat, so if you wanted to take it camping or use it in your vehicle it wouldn't take up that much room. It would also be good to use on a nightstand. It's also nice to use if one person prefers the room a little cooler than another, they can use as their own personal fan and not disturb the other person.The reason I only gave it four stars for maneuverability is that I've found that depending on where I set it, I may want the fan to blow up at me if it's on a low table, and because of the placement of the battery compartment it really only tilts forward and not backwards. Again, this would only be an issue depending on the placement of the fan.Overall, it works well, it's light and portable, it's quiet, and it will keep you cool if the power goes out!

It can be used at your home, your office, while camping, in a college dorm room, during power outages and more.I bought this fan because we have had numerous power outages at work and in the summer time it can become unbearably warm in a very short period of time (I do not sit near a window so I don’t even have the option of opening it to get a breeze). I got the test this fan soon after it arrived at my house when we lost power at work yet again. I used the fan for three hours (until they let us go home) and it did a good job of keeping me cool during that time. It is small, compact, and quiet. My one “complaint” about this fan is installing the batteries. The directions are printed on the inside flap of the box but were not helpful as I had to search for the battery compartment and I had no idea that I needed a phillips screwdriver to open it. Once I got the compartment open, it was easy to install the batteries and the fan worked fine. I just think the instructions should have been printed on the outside of the box not the inside.Battery installation aside, the 02 Cool Fan has come in handy and I am glad I bought it and highly recommend it.

I've had mine for years, at my desk at work. Love it. When I retired, I brought it home. Love it still! Last week, my daughter was headed for rehab and I gave it to her. I am certain it will come in handy. I just bought another. I cannot be without it. Two D batteries are all it takes for 2 speeds of perfection! And they last for years! Excellent choice!
