Just Right
I am including the review from the smaller diamond tipped one as well as I think it is pertinent. I think to get both, as once you feel them, you'll see both kinda have different carry/usage profiles. This thing, as the title said, is just right from the get go, and had the best hand feel and usage profile between this and the smaller guanma 6.5" Cold Steel Koga SD1 and the tactical pens. It is just large enough for the end to be comfortably at the end of your thumb, and also in that regard makes it so it instantly feels like an ergonomically comfortable thrusting weapon, which feel the others didn't have. it feels as if you have a significant defense tool of much greater import, with a similar feeling vibe to seeing a Walther PPK the first time as a teenager, and stating: wow, it's like the Darth Vader of guns. so, unlike the others, it naturally feels like you want to thrust it as a strike, to hammer fist up and down as a strike, to hammer fist up and down as a scraping strike, much more so than the one below. only down side which is also what made it so perfect is it is an inch or so longer and thicker. These are going to be way easier to carry than a knife. I think you would be happy getting both. please read both reviews for a more informed before you buy insight than I had. I will be buying more of these for gifts.-------------------------------------Daimond Tipped smaller guanma 6.5" Cold Steel Koga SD1 review: Firstly, it has some sharp mold release excess plastic that needs filing off in places that will cut into your flesh when holding it, but of course that is not a deal breaker. Secondly, lightweight and fits into the closed fist such that you still want to punch. So in explanation it feels as if you can just have it in your fist while doing closed fist work, and then use as necessary/desired for each of your particular business needs. You will need to adapt your game plan to it, as what I have noticed with these sorts of weapons is that each has its own heft, and feel and how "it desires" to be operated (Before purchase I had mistakenly lumped tactical pens, and various shapes of these as all feeling and operating the same). Very small and will easily carry in shirt/pants pocket. I bought some tactical pens and then just received this, and I found that the pens have a different usage profile (even though still somewhat the same), but I found this kinda fits the bill more of what I was wanting from both the tactical pen and this item, but I think this item is more efficient as the slightly larger grip profile gives more effective usage without such definition of how the item has to be used as dictated by a thinner profile and such mechanics as inherent in each. in further example, I would think this item would instantly be more usable in an unskilled carrier than say the tactical pens, as I think this item would be more consistent with natural movements and gripping action and "lay" skill set than the tactical pen. I think the tactical pen with an unskilled carrier and determined attacker would be less easy to wield and retain than this item.

Koga Self-defense tool.
Hope it gets through airport security. I'll get a note from my chiropractor that is a pinched nerve relief devise.

A tool for self defenders
It's a fact, not every self defense encounter calls for a firearm. I bought this for those kinds of times. It's lightweight but feels pretty durable. This would be a good tool for getting out of a bad situation.
