Q: Does this help prevent nails from splitting down the middle (not just peeling or breaking)?

Actually I was not impressed with this product. It was not thick at all. Just the same thin consistency of any clear top coat. It was a bust so I threw it out. Sorry but I cannot recommend this product.

Q: After applind the two coats when you use the nail color should you use kertain as a top ?

I have and, I also have the entire collection. I love it.

Q: When applying in the next 3 days, should it be removed completely first & then reapplied, or over top of existing layer??

You reapply over existing layer. You take it all off and apply a fresh coat about every 7-10 days.

Q: does this fill in ridges?

No. There are ones specifically for that, but this isn't one of them. This will help strengthen though to grow the ridges out faster.

I'm really disappointed at the product. I've used different product from Nail Aid and it worked wonders. I don't feel like this one is working at all. My nails are peeling. It doesnt stay. Nail polish coming of within 2 days. :(
