Best spray gun ever
Sturdy, well made, all the usual features of a multi-function head. Best feature is a variable flow lever instead of a trigger

Great spray gun
Good quality spray gun with loads of settings. Comfortable to use and easy to adjust flow and on and off. The best spray gun I have ever bought and I have tried a good many over the years. The brass connector that I purchased at the same time did not work well with this gun and kept leaking at the joint, so I have gone back to my original plastic one. I hope this gun lasts a few years.

Easily used one handed
I'm really impressed with this product. It is light to handle and is totally controllable one handed. Avoid using force to increase the pressure, or turn the flow off as it will break. The pressure control is made of plastic and it will break if too much force is used.

High quality sprayer
I keep having to replace the ubiquitous 'yellow and grey' hose sprayers every year or two as they either split when they get frosted, or the plastic seams fracture or the trigger mechanism wears down... Even the more rugged metal versions of this make have plastic parts which fail prematurely. This S & J sprayer seems very robust with a quality feel about it, an easy trigger mechanism and a good choice of spray patterns, it only lacks the 'tap' pattern. So far it seems very promising and I have bought a second one too.

Perfect!
At last, a spraygun that doesn't dribble. Well, it will if you change the spray type with the water on, but even then only from the front disc. The valve is brilliant, an easy thumb action giving a smooth variable range from fully off to full blast, with no leakages at all. Go cry, Hozelock. This is an initial assessment, of course, so how the gun will hold out over the season, and then, hopefully, further seasons has yet to be seen; but so far, so excellent. Look no further - buy it!One year later (plus a couple of months) - no change, despite leaving it connected during one severe frost. Still works perfectly. Certainly the best item of its kind that I've ever encountered. Two years on now, and it still looks and works like new. Observe me amazed.Make that three years, and still working as well as ever. The only minor problem was the O-ring on the hose connector which perished, as rubber things do. Replaced at the tremendous cost of 3p!

Absolute Rubbish
The media could not be loaded. When the unit arrived I was very impressed by the build quality. Three months on, and having only been used twice, the sprayer leaks like a sieve in particular from both the base and the sides of the on-off lever, see video. I have tightened the brass fitting. And what vexes me more is Amazon and Spear and Jackson make it impossible to exercise your statutory consumer rights. Don't buy this sprayer. Believe the reviews? Buyer beware.

Worth the extra
I been through a few hose attachments in the last 3 years and I feel like a right idiot for not having just forked out for this straight away. I've probably spent as much in replacing the cheaper, broken ones that split, leaked or worse. This has got all the whistles and bells, is easy to use and is very solid in construction. In particular I like how you can adjust the pressure of the spray so easily. With other attachments you'd have to lock the spray with a metal spring and have zero control over the pressure. This removes all the messing about with a simple "dial" that rotates to adjust the pressure of the spray. There are more than enough types of spray and the connector at the end can be removed to screw in brass fittings if required.I am confident, like all Spear & Jackson products, this will last me a lot longer and serve me a lot better than the other cheaper rubbish I've persisted with. Worth the extra few quid.
