Great shoe for welders!
This shoe fits well, is comfortable and is very durable. I bought the original version of this shoe, the Timberland PRO Men's Endurance 6" Steel-Toe when my husband worked in the warehouse industry and in concrete. It is the only boot we have found that doesn't cause his feet to suffer from fatigue after a 12 hour day. When he started welding he was burning the laces off weekly. I found this version of the boot which has the same great comfort, stability and support but it protects the laces area from being singed. I would recommend these for anyone who spends long hours on your feet, especially on concrete floors; but also for anyone who runs the risk of damaging laces due to their line of work. Great boots, we've bought this line for nearly ten year and haven't found anything that has come close to the comfort and durability.

Really comfortable
Felt solid, breaking them in still. Easy to put on and take off, impressive. I’ll get the black ones next time around.

Timberland boots
They fit as as expected no problem with the size. I broken them in within 4 days on 12 hour shifts. The boots tough could be longer to prevent over lancing but other then that i have no complaints. Definitely worth the money.

Best and just a wonderful work boot.
Great boot very comfortable, first boot in over 20 years that didn't need a insole one that came with if is perfect and feels great. Boots have great protection even a plate in the bottom to keep objects from penetrating the sole of the boot. Very heavy boots but you dont notice once you get them on. Took very little time to totally break them in. Great boot great protection for your feet in harsh environments.

The Cure Kills the Patient
The sole is so stiff that after a few weeks my achilles tendons started being sore. The tongue has almost no padding and there is a lot of actuation and pressure at that point because the shoe laces tie there, the protective shell top digs a little, and the super stiff sole plays a role. I eventually did not run the shoelaces through the protective shell and that helped a little, but still they hurt where the laces are tied. It is almost like the laces are tied right directly to my leg and feels like someone is strangling my feet while I walk. I noticed they feel heavy so I weighed them. 3lbs each! These things are tanks; you could probably strap these on a mob victim and toss them in the river. A lot easier than concrete buckets. The good? Well, they are tough as nails and will stop bullets probably. However, like walking around in body armor its not something that lends itself to comfort. They also give you a 2" height boost, so if you are already tall you become a giant. I took them off at work this week and put on by new balance running shoes and it was a night and day difference. I may never put those boots back on again.

Very comfortable from day one.
Have been using the timberland pro brand boots for approximately 5 years at work but a different model. Mixed opinions on the longevity of the boots but i am very rough on boots as i commonly step in various types of hydraulic fluids, waters, paints, glycol based hydraulic fluids and also stand on very high temperature machinery >600°F in my machine repair job in a foundry. So far this model séems to be holding up better than the stiched sole variety i used to wear as the stiching on the soles typically failed around 6 months. Ive had these for 4 months so far and they are still solid.

Quality
I used it for about a month strong which I’m an auto mechanic to be protected from heaving objects and tools falling on me it’s a tuff boot but also heavy at the end of the day. It started to open around the side where you bend your foot walking and the lace kept breaking because of the mat Guard design rubbing on the lace. I kept using them for a while longer I’ll say maybe 5 months and I had stop using them so that I can go and get it repaired before they burst open or something from the foot arch area which the guy I had he stitched them for me which I believe should have been done by timberland to begin with I would have glued and stitched them because the glue didn’t last no time and the shoe was opening up on the sides couldn’t let my money go to a waste. It is not a flexible boot so they only would last glued if you don’t wear them on your walk as if your marching. By the way 3rd pair of laces if you by these upgrade your laces

These boots are still hurting my feet, especially my heel. Giving me constant blisters. I wish there was more comfortable material on the inside of the heel of this boot
