I'll admit, the first week when I was going through caffeine withdrawal, it was rough, but I knew it would only take a few days for that to pass.Once I was over the caffeine withdrawal, I couldn't believe how much energy I had! I would work a 10 or 11 hour shift, then get home and still have energy to workout! Also, if I get tired at work in the afternoon, I can drink more of this for a boost of energy, AND I can still get to sleep at night!This is such a huge help with my health because I also suffer from chronic migraines, and I've noticed that I'm not having them as often! Right now I'm on my third week without a migraine!It can be rough on your body if you use too much. I started with 1 tablespoon but that was a little too rough on my stomach. I found that half a tablespoon was the perfect amount for me, so I get the energy I need with no tummy pain.I know some people may not like the graininess in the last few sips, plus getting past the caffeine withdrawal period is rough, but I think it's completely worth it. I have heard great things about maca in general but didn't ever know there was a product like this (since this is not just maca but it has other ingredients in it to make it more of a ready to go drink). I immediately made a cup and it tastes great! I initially used cold milk with the recommended 1 TBSP but it had a hard time dissolving from just using a spoon to stir so I warmed the cup up afterwards. It honestly just tastes like hot chocolate or a not so intense chocolate milk with a little nutty taste (not as strong as a peanut butter chocolate combo would be though). The nuttiness is very subtle but I really enjoy it. I chugged that first half of the cup and felt a rush of energy in about 5 minutes. Not jittery and more of a positive energy rush. I am sure if you actually took your time to drink it it wouldn't be so sudden but it would still feel like a nice energy boost and nothing over the top. I have heard to mix this in your coffee too so I am going to try that tomorrow! For the price, I think this is a great choice since the quality of ingredients is so high and the taste is great too. I do 2 heaping teaspoons of Morning Motivator and 1 teaspoon of a chicory drink (Barlee brand) on hot oat milk (Pacific brand, original)... and it definitely fits the routine. I was initially worried that the cocoa (one of the ingredients) might affect my acid reflux, but thankfully it goes down well with me.I would take away a point for price/value for money because I think it is on the expensive side. This entire bag will only last me about 1 drink a day for 3-4 weeks.Take note though, this does not taste like coffee, instead more like hot cocoa... and I love it!
