I purchased both the "small" and the "jumbo". The dimensions that I found on Amazon were unsatisfactory, so I will post a better set of dimensions here."small" (B0032VDG14,BAM-10006): thickness = 7/8" folded length = 8" unfolded length = 12" width = 3.5" circular depression = 2&7/8" diameter"jumbo" (B0032VFHX4,BAM-10007): thickness = 7/8" folded length = 10" unfolded length = 15" width = 4.5" circular depression = 3" diameterNote that the circular depression is not proportional to the overall size of the press, and is nearly identical for both. Because of this, I don't really see the purpose of the "jumbo" version, all it does is take up more space in the kitchen.Regarding the negative reviews, I agree that the press is rather flimsy, and I tightened some of the screws myself. BUT, I don't think a tostonera needs to be very strong -- pressing once-fried plantains is very easy. So, I would say it is constructed according to its purpose. The press would probably break very quickly if you used it to press raw, unripe plantains, but that's not the intended use.

Works as it should
The price is right for this kitchen tool. I’ve bought a few of these for myself and for my family. They seem to work as well as any other inexpensive tostonera. They won’t last forever but at this price point I don’t expect it to. Out of the 3 purchased only one had a screw that began to loosen up but it was an easy fix.

Perfect size to store in the drawer. Lightest, easy to use & clean. I I used some oil before pressing & nothing stuck at all. Good value for the price

Three of the screws was missing that attached the two pieces. Total waste of money

The product does a good job mashing plantains but did not like the screws coming apart wish it were more sturdy

The media could not be loaded. No matter how you slice it, long cube or you don’t cut it. It will give you some perfectly flat plantain and nicely done.
