JAS: He said, "See ya later."GEORGIA: But he might say that to everyone, like sort of "See you later" sort of thing.JAS: You mean you don't think he likes me?GEORGIA: I didn't say that. He might never say "See you later" unless he means, "See you later."JAS: So you think he might mean "See you later," then?GEORGIA: Yes.JAS: When is later, though?🤣🤣🤣 Sorry, you might have had to have been there, but this type of dialogue reappears a few times throughout the book and it made me laugh more each subsequent time. What teenage girl, at one point or another, didn't over-analyze everything a boy said to her?As many times as I thought Georgia was a judgmental stinker, I also laughed out loud. I probably wouldn't recommend this to a young person who is easily influenced by what they read or watch, because Georgia has no respect for adults. Parents or otherwise. That might be my biggest issue with the story. Other than that, it was a light and fun read.

LAUGH OUT LOUD FUNNY!!!
I found this book to be laugh out loud funny at times wiping the tears from my eyes for laughing so hard. Picturing myself as a 14 year old (surely I had similar thoughts about boys and friends, maybe even my parents, who are weird in the mind of a 14 year old) and going through similar situations (not all mind you but some, LOL).Georgia's interactions with her 3 year old sister (Libby) and Angus (the 'cat') were my favorite I think. Libby is as cute as can be! and OMG Angus...hilarious!!Oh I also got a kick out of Georgia's glossary at the end of the book...terrific addition, LOLI will be recommending this book to friends, especially my sister-in-law (Lisa) who has the same sense of humor and in my imagination was probably a lot like Georgia at 14!In my opinion Ms. Rennison did a fantastic job bringing the reader into the state of mind of a humorous teen aged girl and out of the mind of an adult for a while...to me that is worth 5 stars!!

Hilarious and adorable
One of the best books I have ever read. I read this gosh what a decade ago? If not more? I can’t 100% recall when I first read it. Although, I can recall I bought every single book she wrote after that. She died too early and her humor will be greatly missed.I have bought these book series and introduced my younger family members too them because they truly are a great read

Great book for mean girls
I'm giving this two stars because I chuckled one time. Otherwise it would have been one star. The main character is a snotty, mean girl. She is horrid! I was planning on giving this book to my niece, but no way. I'm so glad I read it first. This girl is not nice to her friends and she's terrible to her dad. I didn't even find it to be funny...except for one line that made me chuckle a little. Trash!

WARNING! Mad cat on the loose!!!
Imagine that you were a 14 year old girl living in the middle of England with your very odd parents, a mad toddler sister, and a cat who acts like a hungry lion. You are in love with a guy but soon realize that he is going steady with a girl that you and your friends all avoid. Your life couldn't get any worse. But just before you hitch hike to Africa, your live suddenly changes. If that sounded like a crazy life to you, you are totally correct. That is how Georgia Nicolson lived her life a teenager in England in the book Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging By Louise Rennison. In Georgia's diary, she is living a crazy life of avoiding her family's togetherness and trying to get the man of her dreams to notice her. She and her handful of friends encounter many daring and very funny obstacles on the way to growing up. She spends most of her time in her room experimenting on different looks or boring herself at her private all girls' school that she hates. Between all the clothes, make-up, stress, boys, and school she encounters a life changing event that she wanted in the beginning. Georgia tries to get this boy named Robbie to like her. But only one problem... he is 4 years older and he is already taken! But that doesn't stop Georgia. It is either her way or the highway. Can she win Robbie from the mystery girl? So if you enjoy a funny book written with English humor, and that in the middle of class will have you cracking up, Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging is a great book for you.

I have to put this away on the train!
I'm 28 and I love this book. My sister recommended it to me and I tried to read it on the train last week. I had to put it away I was laughing so hard that people kept looking at me in a strange way. My sister, by the way, says this makes the book even funnier. I love the honesty, the experiences and the awkwardness of the book. It's refreshing and it makes me enjoy reading fiction again. This is certain to cheer you up and a great gift. I would highly recommend it. The formatting is easy to read and it's styled like a diary with dates and times logged. Here's my favorite part of the book so far on p.17 "2:00 p.m. Looking through the old family albums. I'm not really surprised I'm ugly. The photos of Dad as a child are terrifying. His nose is huge - it takes up half of his face. In fact, he is literally just a nose with legs and arms attached."

A Very Funny Book
This book is a great rendition of what a typical teen-aged girl is going through in her life. I literally read it in less than half of a day. I didn't want to put it down because it is so funny...and true. It is written in diary format and very easy to read. The language barrier between Brit's and American can get somewhat confusing but there is a glossary in the back so that you can look up words if you cannot understand them. This book is basically a younger Bridget Jones...very humorous, very real world.Georgia has all the trials and tribulations with her pals and family that a typical middle class girl would go through. Her cat is psycho but makes it all that much funnier.I recommend it for girls ages 12 and up...they will definitely be able to relate!

I would recommend this for any teenage girl (Approx 12+)
I first read this as a young teenage girl and the series fast became some of my favourite books. I'm in my early twenties now and while I wouldn't recommend this to friends my own age, I personally still enjoy reading it as much as I did ~10 years ago. The reason I wouldn't recommend it to my friends (although there are probably some who would really enjoy it) is that it is a little immature and 'chick-flick' humour, which is understandable as the target audience is young girls.Having said that, I do think the book is very funny and that if you are on the fence then you should just read it. You'll know within the first 10 pages or so whether you like it. The style is very easy to read and light-hearted so it's ideal if you want to read something that doesn't require a lot of thinking.I would definitely recommend buying it for any young teenage girl as I'm sure that they would enjoy it. As for adults if you like Bridget Jones then consider this a teenage version. Parents, I wouldn't worry about letting your teens read this (I'd say age 12+) as nothing R rated occurs. Anything of 'that' issue is just kissing.

Female Adrian Mole, awesome!
The best way (I feel) to describe this book is it is a more up-to-date female based Adrian Mole. It has been a while since I was the age of this character, but within reason all the thoughts feelings misgivings can be completely related to. If I had a book like this when I was growing up, maybe I would have felt less like the only person feeling like that. So true to life, and although I don’t live there now, was nice to find out it was based around where I grew up!

Very Funny
I read this because I wanted to take my nine year old daughter to see the film and wondered if the material would be suitable. I found it very readable, which given that I am completely the wrong demographic for this kind of book was kind of worrying! I did find myself laughing out loud at several points, which is not something I usually do with books. The hero, Georgia is fourteen, obsessed by her appearance and boys and perpetually humiliated by her family. The book charts her life in diary form over several months and her pursuit of a teenage 'sex god'.I caught myself wishing this book had been published when I was a teenager, because I know I would have read and re-read it and found it totally hilarious.

Fabulous!
This novel is brilliantly humorous and so easy to relate to. Georgia Nicolson is an hilarious character who anyone will be entertained by. I managed to read this book within one day and I found it highly amusing and funny. I find nothing wrong with it and loved every chapter from beginning to end. I recommend this book for young teens around ages 12-16 as although this is a light hearted novel a few things in this story are not really suitable for the younger ones. But all in all a super story and I look forward to reading the next book to that follows on!
