It's a lock, what more can I say. It locks and unlocks so 5 stars I guess.

The frame mount only works on smaller diameter uprights and is not designed to be universal. You can see in the photo that the bracket doesn't reach all the way around on my pipe making it so the screw holes won't line up. I will have to lug this thing around in a saddlebag or backpack which is more gear than I typically want to bring on rides. Otherwise the lock itself appears to be well-made.

Much more theft proof than my old cable bike lock which was easily defeated by a bolt cutter. Very pleased with my purchase.

I have had this lock for only 4 months. It is completely rusted on the inside (i.e. when it does work, it unlocks very difficultly). Now, I will have to let the police cut my lock because it does not open anymore. Absolutely worthless.

Just the right size and juuuust enough space under my top tube for mounting. If you have a Specialized Crosstrail/Sirrus in any frame size lesser than M - you may need to consider a smaller lock. Otherwise a solid product with all required features for a fair price (21€ on sale) 👌

Bought two of these for under £20 for the kids' bikes. I've had my one for over 10 years. The only time I've had one of these fail is when an organised bike gang stole a load of bikes. Nothing really is gonna come up against an angle grinder, and they had a van with them so when I needed to get proper locks when my kids got proper bikes it was a no brainer to go for a kriptonite. Weight is what it is, for the security, but it does come with a clip to attach to most bike frames (probably not chunkier bikes, but we all ride road bikes), which is convenient so you don't forget to take a lock out. It doesn't fit on my daughter's smaller bike, but she's only 7 and rides a very small frog 55. Keys are fine, no problems, my older model has a little L in one end which there is a nack to. This one has two straight pins going into the lock which is easier for the kids to deal with and the key goes straight up. At the time of purchase this was the cheapest kriptonite and only about £5 more than a lot cheaper locks which had poor reviews. Pay the extra for a kriptonite, it will last for years and only professional kit will get through them. Comes with extra keys too for peace of mind, keys don't seem to be universal either as the boys both have the same locks but their keys don't fit in each others. Got these for under £20. Absolute bargain. Wouldn't buy anything else.
