It's a cooktop, it cooks food.Not with just any old pot or pan, you need steel or iron for this, but that's how induction cooking works...It's a great value, works great, boils water super quick. I have noticed a bit of electrical whine at times, especially with my tea kettle, but then again, it boils water super quick, so who cares? The slide to set "feature" is a bit of a pain, especially if you only want to go up or down a notch. But it's not rocket science either...I would totally recommend this at $800 and even more so if it goes on sale! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great! *by N***N on February 6, 2023* 2 of the burners needed to be seated as previously addressed. Annoying but not a major hassle. Took maybe 5-10 mins. They should adjust the mounting brackets design to avoid that hassleBoils water in about 3 minutes and far superior to the electric cooktop it replaced during a kitchen. renovation. Easy to clean up, very response and quiet. I did need some new cookware but I already expected that.
