I purchased this based on kit contents and reviews. I have to say this set was perfect. The connectors I needed, the adapters I needed, and plenty of wire. All good quality, no issues with the connectors other than a little efforts needed to unsnap them. Once the strips were inserted and the top of the connector closed, that strip wasn't going anywhere. I had a piece of work to run the lights from the upper shelving to under the cabinets, then up again, but I was able to run the wire inside the cabinets -- all clean and hidden. I would recommend this kit to anyone!

The wire is small gauge, LED points of connection are tiny. I would not waste time trying to solder. I used them to connect LED strips for under/ above cabinet lighting. I used crimp connections to connect the loose wire ends as needed. Once the LED strip is in, if you need to remove it, it can easily be done and then reinserted.

I use these when retrofitting the 18inch fluorescent tubes in our motorhome. I am not using waterproof led reels, so I can't speak to the waterproof rating requested. There is no adhesive backing on the cables (there is on the LED strips and that works well). So rating it for adhesion is not appropriate either. Does it clamp well and make a solid connection - yes! Does it easily slide onto the LED strip, yes (there are little tabs to slide the strip under and it clamps down on top of it)! Was it easy to match the positive and negative sides of the strip to the connector? Yes! the connector is marked + and -. Did I have to do a bunch of Soldering? NO!!! these filled our need, more have been ordered.

Got this kit to set up an LED strip with all the connections. Thought that the solderless clips would be a must, but it turned out to be a major failure. They really don't work well, get on top of an LED and it's awful to try to close these things. Definitely go with soldering! The DC plugs work well but they don't have a snug fit (seems a little bit lose for me) The wires that come with the kit are really thin but have been working fine until now. If you can solder, I'd definitely try going with another kit.

These worked great for what we needed. We didn't use many of the pieces, but it was good to have plenty on hand from which to select. We still ended up doing some soldering, but where we used these, the connections are good.
