I love the fresh taste of the walnuts. They are light and airy. I wondered if I could germinate one of the nuts to grow a tree, but when soaking the seeds, they just floated in the water. I don’t know if I can reproduce this great tasting walnut. I believe these walnuts are roasted. I purchased another local raw walnut and it is not like this one. I believe I have been deceived. I thought I was getting raw walnuts.

The nuts are day and night different from the Diamond walnut halves that I purchased for years. Recently, the Diamond walnut package has a strange and rather strong (formaldehyde?) odor, so I was desperate to try something else. I thought about how amazon sells so many products, and thus the rest is in the past. I will NEVER purchase Diamond walnuts again! These are so easy to crack, the taste is how I perceive a walnut should taste, and the best part is that there is no odor from the package. Please keep the nuts the same. I will be purchasing for as long as they are as tasty and non-odoriferous as they are now.
