The idea being that they would provide protection and secure footing whilst splashing about. They proved to be ideal for the siuation. We found them to be comfortable and easy to put on and take off due to the material they are constructed from. My normal wellies were too short.Slipped into them without trouble while wearing my Jeans underneath. Plenty of room for an extra pair of socks in my Foot-Size 10 and a Boot-Size 10. Rubber legs are very flexible and therefore not restricting any leg movements.Couldn't work out the straps at first, but ended up tying them around my belt and it did the job.Highly recommend.
