BagSmith Felting Needle

After having cramped, stiff fingers from holding the little felting needles by themselves, I looked for a handle / grip that might help the issue---allowing me to spend time with my new interest. Since I want to make whimsical characters rather than flat applique, I need a better (more comfortable!) way of accomplishing my task. I found this product and decided to give it a try.So far, it has served me well because this little needle is sharp and the smooth handle allows me to hold more like a pencil. However, I am always aware at how brittle felting needles can be under too much pressure; therefore, I work hard not to bend or pry the needle of this device. If it snaps though, I can replace it with a similar sized standard felting needle.Before purchasing this produce though, investigate the other handle types and the ergonomic ones as your preferred grip may be different from mine.

The handle doesn't fit my hand quite right and I'm not used to having my hand that far away from my work. I know it's only a fraction of an inch, but it makes a difference to me. Also, you can see in the photo that the needle is offset from the center which makes it a bit awkward for me. Overall it's useable for me, just not what I expected. The quality is great and changing needles is very simple.

As I said in my other review that the egg shaped handle was the least of all needle felting tool. This one is better but definitely not the best.

Tool works great, BUT needle broke within a few days. How do I find a replacement needle?? Thank you in advance.

Works exactly as intended. The wooden plug hold snuggly but not overly tight and fits a variety of need brands.

I felted with this tool for over four hours and could have kept going. The grip is comfortable and it's easy to change the needle. No cramping in my hands!

Very nice detailing needle. Wooden handle allows for more control when doing fine work. Supermart gave me outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend them!

The simple design is easy to load, holds needles securely, and fits well in my hand. I use it frequently and it shows no signs of giving out anytime soon.
