Bought for my daughter. They are ok for the money. Lasted a little longer than Some.

My daughter plays a bass clarinet in band. This brand is what the band director keeps on hand. They will break... all reeds will if the student plays a lot. This brand helps create a strong sound.

This is what the school recommended for the bass clarinet. They been great.

Just what I needed

You can never go wrong with Rico reeds. I've been using Rico reeds for 10 years now and they rarely break on me. I just transitioned to bass clarinet and the Rico reeds, especially 2.5 reeds, have not failed on me yet. The reed does seem to dry up really quickly so I'm not sure if its the warm ambient temperature or the reeds alone. But for the time I've been using the reeds, I love it!

My daughter loves them but they are priced high.

Good price, works well for my daughter. They do not break easily and produce a good sound. 2 mos later and we haven broken any yet.

I like the Rico Royal reeds because they are the nearest to the stated strength and 10 for the asking price is excellent value. I am just going to order another box! Owen (Professional Bass Clarinettist)
