Intuitive
The poems relate to a host of different experiences and resonate with many I believe. It reflects the realities of many women's experiences...how similar. Is it generational ...is it passed on. I wonder at the resonance reflected in the experiences.

Not for me
Though learning through this journey I am on, this book wasn’t for me. . Maybe for others, but not for me. I’ve enjoyed reading through it, it just wasn’t hitting me and putting me in my feelings like I needed it to. I’m afraid to read the rest of the series, though I bought all of them.

Melancholy, Wise, Resilient, and Beautiful
I love the way this book flows and is organized. The book begins with poems that are rather weak and sad, but it ends up so strong and optimistic. Reading this book through, was sort of like having a nightmare, finally waking up, realizing it was all just a bad dream, and everything will be okay. It was like a journey into and out of a storm. Sin speaks calmly, wisely, encouragingly, and motherly. She reaches out and holds the reader's hand with her subtle expressions, keen observations, and advice on themes such as abuse, friendship, romantic relationships, and self-love. Her poetry is a soothing remedy for the brokenhearted and downtrodden. With her art, Sin assures the reader that they aren't alone and have much reason to cherish themselves and press on, no matter what comes. I believe this book is a gift to all women, and I am very glad I had the chance to experience it.

Not the sincere message with the depth to keep you hooked that you expect
I find this book very conflicting. Starting off, you're hit with the sever sense of physical abuse in relationships, and allows you to believe you are about to enter a deep emotional journey with the author. At the end of the day though, it felt vague and repetitive. What makes poetry like this good is the experience and the emotions from those experiences put into every word to convey the deep meaning in a message any woman would attempt to express to another; You are enough and your love for yourself should always be priority. Written from a man's perspective lacks that level of unspoken understanding. While he is in attempt to prove you are never alone, the breakage of the 4th wall throws off the flow of the book, distracting what ever meaning you could draw from the poetry. Not only that, but the imagery stands extremely simple, and the actual words never go deeper than how horrible men can be. Which makes the 4th wall break strange. This is what makes it most conflicting. Understanding that perhaps this was supposed to help you understand your self worth and the author is here for anyone who needs it, but the usage of his diction creates an after thought of how are you supposed to understand the struggles of women. Specific wording like that takes away, especially when it never surpasses that point, and almost seems too self assured. Throughout, the poems are mainly about men being trash, then transforms into the author's voice, almost saying- "so yeah, all those men I mentioned, trash. But I'm here and I think you're 'a beautiful misfit' and I, I have all the answers for you." Basically, if you're looking for simplicity and lack of connection from an author who seems to be running out of content to write, this book is for you. Also, there is an extreme lack of content held in this book, most of the pages having two lines to them.

Not my type
Cliché, just cliché, this book is the kind of fast reading for hopelessly romantic and broken hearted people, that enjoy vanilla quotes.

Worth the money
Gorgeous poetry and definitely worth the read, very similar to works like “milk and honey” with the romantic, self loving styles. If you enjoy poetry that is explicit and unapologetic in its approach then this is definitely for you.
