Oysters arrived very dried out, each individually sealed in plastic. I have ordered pearls in oysters prior to this, and they never arrived in this condition. Also, when you open the oyster, you didn’t have to cut into the actual oyster to get the pearl this time it’s almost as if they open the oyster through a very poor quality pearl inside and shut it. I order saltwater oysters because I like the quality better than freshwater pearls. These poor quality poorly colored pearls look like they were painted, and they were Misshaped.

Oysters dryed out crispy pearls chipped and poor quality .I sale pearl cages along with doing events ( live) never been more embarrassed in my live!!! shame on you for saleing these at this price .I want my money back .or replace my order with better quality oysters not all dryed out

Half of the color is missing from the pearls like someone purposefully painted only half. They are not faded, I mean the color is completely missing! The pearls are dry and practically fall open and the pearl falls out. The freshwater pearls were more fun to open than these. Don't waste your money.

Very disappointed that I wasted my money on these. I’ll just go back to spending more money on the nice ones I buy somewhere else. Firstly, the listing says “round pearls”. About half of these are oval like a rice oyster pearl not an akoya oyster. Secondly, as you’ll see in the pictures before I did anything the shells were already completely opened which lead me to believe the pearls were just placed in the shells. There are a few pretty ones but the majority have no luster shine to them and in the pictures they’ve already been cleaned. There was a slight smell but not bad. The size is average. Again, if you’re reading this to decide to buy or not… go somewhere else and spend more money to get nice ones. Don’t waste your money on these!!

It was fun opening these saltwater oysters and seeing the surprise color you get. I read a lot of other customer reviews and agree with most of them. I believe these oysters were pre-opened and a colored pearl was placed inside. Because there was no effort to open them. Just used my fingers. They are not like the freshwater oysters I purchaced. You needed a oyster tool to open them. Further, when you look at these pearls, you can see the color was stained away on one side from the preservitive they use. The smell was not bad at all. I still enjoy them.

These are a party favor/craft activity for a mermaid birthday party, and they're perfect for that. Got some mermaid pearl cages in bulk and silk cords to hang them. Pretty round, slightly flawed (not bad for fresh water), low luster and thin nacre - but real pearls in real oysters. By the reviews, seems like some people thought they should expect a dozen AAAA pearls for eight bucks. Good luck with that!

Out of 10 only 7 had pearls and the colours are not vibrant and discoloured. Don’t recommend for the price. Sad
