This listing is for 4 fresh cuttings Fire cactus (also known as pencil cactus, milkbush, sticks on fire) It likes sunlight and needs very little water. The tops of the stems turn red in sunlight. It makes a great houseplant in cooler climates and can be planted outside in zones 9a and above. This listing is for 4 fresh cuttings from the mother plant. Roots best after the end has calloused - which is usually complete after the shipping process. It can then be rooted directly in well draining soil. This item is shipped with the intent of drying the cut end during transport to callous.

But I received 7 healthy, sturdy cuttings (couldn’t believe the great price when I bought them, and now I really can’t believe it!). I planted them in a medium pot with miracle grow cactus potting soil and a rock base. They’re on my porch (center pot in the photo) with some of my other recent pottings and seem healthy, happy and ready to take off. I love this type of succulent and the way it turns vibrant red-orange when it’s out in the sun. Can’t wait to see what happens with these!

I am so thrilled with these sticks-on-fire succulent cuttings! I’m a plant nerd and have never ordered live plants on Amazon before, so was a little skeptical. But I received 7 healthy, sturdy cuttings (couldn’t believe the great price when I bought them, and now I really can’t believe it!). I planted them in a medium pot with miracle grow cactus potting soil and a rock base. They’re on my porch (center pot in the photo) with some of my other recent pottings and seem healthy, happy and ready to take off. I love this type of succulent and the way it turns vibrant red-orange when it’s out in the sun. Can’t wait to see what happens with these!
