I started shooting video several years ago. First I had an online series I put together for work and then i had a number of music videos I worked on. These lights are great. They don't take up a lot of space and they put out a decent amount of light.I still had to use ISO 400-800 at ƒ2.8 but both of those ISOs work well and don't add too much noise. If you want a true studio situation I'd suggest getting the larger panels, but for me shooting drum videos in my basement they work great.They are well built and I like that they have a way to mount them strait up on the light stand or from the side. This is especially useful if you decide to purchase the barn doors for them which won't open when they are pointed at a down angle if they are mounted strait up from the light stand.They are a lot more compact than the soft boxes I was using before and output almost as much light with a much easier setup and breakdown. I think Neewer provides some very cost effective lighting solutions.I did have an issue with two dead LEDs. It seems to be an intermittent issue. I contacted customer support and they provided a solution that worked perfectly for me. I'd recommend these to a friend if they were looking for lighting.

I have purchased Neewer lights since beginning my YouTube channel and later on adding a podcast. In the beginning I purchased the smaller one 60 and 216 models. This was a significant upgrade in the Neewer line for me. Needless to say I am very pleased with the purchase, especially since I caught it on the lightning deal. Even at the regular price these are well worth the money, they are super bright, and since they are by color you can tune them to your liking. The build quality is very good considering everything but the back battery plate is made out of aluminum which is not common in these price ranges. I especially love that they come with the power adapter so you can plug it into the wall and not have to worry about batteries even though it has two NPF slots. If you are even considering this is a purchase I would go ahead and say pull the trigger without reservation.

The lights work great but, HOW IN THE WORLD ARE THEY NOT SOLD WITH THE STANDS??!!! How am I supposed to have them stand up right? It’s supposed to be a whole set, it’s like selling a tripod with no legs🙆🏽‍♀️. A big inconvenience. Seller please fix this and just sell the thing as a complete set.

Bought these for two purposes. 1. Video lighting 2. Event lighting. Wanted to have both capabilities in one package From my research, the brightness is medium in is price range. Yet when I tested it out, I'm pretty satisfied with it's performance for lighting an area at night. I got the 2 light kit without stands because I wanted to get the taller light stands which the kit with light stands don't come with.My only concern was mixing the bi color LEDs to get maximum brightness. But now that I tried both color temperatures at once, I actually think it's more natural with it mixed.As a video light I wasn't too concerned because my A7iii has amazing low light performance. But for event lighting, it serves a secondary purposes.The build quality is decent though nothing too jaw dropping. I'm sure it's better than most cheaper video lights. Neewer does a good job. The only improvement to this with be an L shaped power adapter connection. Once this light mounted at 7 feet, it would be nice if the power adapter cord isn't bent while it hangs down.The only thing the competition has going for them is more brightness (which is probably unnecessary) and remote controls which would be nice for the event use.
