Bisetti5.12 Inch Roma Beech Wood Pepper Mill With Adjustable Steel Grinder With Walnut Finish, Made in Italy

We visited Italy recently as a family. While at a restaurant in Florence, my husband was using the pepper mill and declared "this is the nicest pepper grinder I've ever used!". I had him check for a brand name and it said "Bisetti". After some research, I learned this was THE Italian brand. During the remainder of our trip, I looked for stores that might carry the pepper and salt mills but didn't have any luck. I would have loved to buy it IN Italy but was really happy to see Amazon sold them as well. We ordered the salt and pepper mills (and got rid of all of the crappy ones we've accumulated over the years) as a post-trip souvenir. They are such a great quality, I really think they'll last the rest of our lives and be passed on to our kids! We love them and the special memory of how we discovered them.

i've had it for a few months now i think and I am happy. it is tiny - perfect for a table to at the stove for when you're cooking... the adjustable grinds were new to me, but i like that!

Had to return the first one, did not adjust grind. Replacement working fine.

Right out of the box, this pepper mill has not functioned properly, I believe there is a problem with how it's constructed. I always have it full of peppercorns, but it hardly grinds the actual pepper at all, no matter the amount of adjustment to the top screw. To even get a small amount of pepper is quite a chore, it seems to be grinding the plates together and not the peppercorns. I've owned other pepper mills, so I am familiar with how they should work. For the price, this is a complete waste of money, and now for some reason I'm unable to return it? I would recommend not purchasing this pepper mill, there are far better products available.
