Unisex Mesh Breathable Fishing Vest, Multi-Pockets Photography Travel Hiking Waistcoat Jacket for Adults and Youth

After years of organizing coins, keys, and other everyday needs using the pockets of cargo shorts and pants, I recently suffered the loss of a leg, leaving me stuck in a wheelchair. That makes the pants pockets a lot less accessible, so I needed a different set of pockets, and this vest does a great job.With 10 outside pockets, I can dedicate them to single purposes, and not need to fish around to do things like separate keys from coins. One caution: some pockets have mesh backs, which might be a problem for skinny/pointy contents.Because summers are hot where I live, I really wanted the mesh. And I really like that the solid fabric parts are 100% cotton. I usually wear a large in knit shirts, but sometimes need to go XL for non-stretchy fabrics. Having seen warnings about some imported garments being "Asian-sized" and smaller than the same US size, I decided to go with XXL. Unfortunately, that was out of stock, so I went with XXXL. That's definitely "way too big": I can pinch almost 6 inches of fabric. It's sloppy enough that it might be prone to snagging if you're in tight quarters. But it also means I can carry my Fire HD8 in an inside pocket without it getting tight. My suggestion: go one size up if you want to be sure of a comfortable fit, and two if you're likely to wear it over a sweatshirt or light jacket.The zippers are plastic, so there might be a durability problem if you're (un)zipping them a lot. Since I'm not doing any jogging or bungee jumping, I just leave them unzipped.Bottom line: it's well-designed and well-made, I'm very pleased with it, and would definitely by another if this one got lost or damaged.

I wore this vest on a recent flight. The plane ticket was cheap, but I would have been charged a lot for any baggage beyond a 'personal item'. So I purchased a small backpack that maximized the allowed dimensions for the 'personal item' and carried my wallet, cards, passport, boarding pass, cell phone, and a few other small items, including my neck pillow and back pillow (both inflatable) in the vest pockets. It was nice knowing everything was securely zippered in. For plein air painting I plan to buy an actual 'photography vest' or 'fishing vest' with gussetted pockets that will hold more, but this vest, with it's flat pockets, was adequate for my air travel needs...and MUCH less expensive. I'm glad I ordered a size that was plenty loose on me, or it would not have been comfortable when those flat pockets were full. Decent quality

The vest is lightweight -- can go under a jacket. Pockets are bigger than expected, especially the inside ones. Breathable mesh -- stays cool. Velcro and zippered pockets -- keeps electronics from falling out when I bend over. Fit reasonably well, and I can easily tuck or tailor a bit as needed. Size way up -- I am about a 20 or 1X in regular sizes, and a XXXL fits slightly snugly. You can always tuck along a side seam if it's too large. I just put it on and INSTANT POCKETS!!!! That stupid clothing manufacturers don't give us enough of. Great for keeping items like camera, GPS, phone, etc. handy so I don't have to keep taking my backpack off.

A large would have fit nicer than the suggested X-Large
