But that principally depends on how good the wick is. The Mega wicks do not self trim, so the flame gets too large, eventually causing the candle to drip. See picture. I was quite disappointed. If you don't keep up with trimming the wicks, which is a pain, they will drip. The clean up is not fun. Getting wax off bobeches, table cloths, etc is work. Weather has been cool in Louisiana so they were straight and not melted. Each candle is wrapped in tissue paper so none are scratched. They are a true taper . The gold is exterior only with white candle underneath. You get 12 in box. The bottoms are narrow enough to fit in candle holders without having to pare the bottom. They are a very pretty gold.
