They are a great thickness, well finished for your project right out of the box, even had hanging holes pre drilled for me on the back. Would definitely use this company and their product again. For my project I used spray glue and scrap booking paper on the front and hand painted the edges to finish the look. Would have definitely been able to stain or paint without any sanding or priming.
