I have been trying to find a good replacement for the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, which has always been one of my favorites. Since I generally trust Tarte cosmetics and have had good experiences with their products in the past, I thought this eyeliner might be a promising alternative. The packaging is absolutely adorable—the cap has a little kitty cat on it, which makes it feel fun and unique. The price point is also comparable to other high-end liquid liners, so it felt like a reasonable option to try. If you love a very bold eyeliner look, this product could be perfect for you. The liner goes on extremely dark and thick, almost like using a Sharpie marker. It creates a very dramatic, defined line right away, which some people may really enjoy. However, for my personal preference, it felt a bit too heavy. I prefer a thinner brush tip and a smoother, more precise application that allows me to build the line gradually rather than getting such an intense stroke immediately. I also noticed some wear issues. I wore the eyeliner for about five hours, and when I got home I realized the wings of my eyeliner had become slightly runny. I hadn’t been out in the heat, crying, or doing anything that would normally cause smudging, so that was a little disappointing. Overall, it’s an OK eyeliner, but it doesn’t quite meet the qualities I was looking for. Because of that, I don’t think I would purchase it again.

I actually bought this because the Pat McGrath ones were out of stock. I prefer this one and will be buying going forward.

I have tried my best to get this to work for me but it just doesn’t. It’s not even close to waterproof, and it’s barely a 4 hour wear. Complete opposite of the description. Not sure if I got a dud or what. Within an hour of wearing, my eyelids are sticking to themselves because it’s transferring. It’s easily wiped off no matter the time of day or temperature inside during application or outside after leaving the house. I’ve tried primer, setting spray, powder. Nothing keeps it in place. Don’t waste your money! I’ve used it for 2 weeks straight with not one single time it’s worked as it should. I live in Florida. Make up doesn’t stand a chance here unless it’s good quality and this is NOT!
