It has an adhesive backing that you use to stick it on the bottom of the door, just make sure you position it precisely before adhering it to the door. You can also measure your door first to make sure this fits the width - if this is longer than the door width you could cut off a bit of the strip to make it shorter. For my external patio door I actually wanted something a bit wider than the door so it would cover a space on the side between the door and the frame where bugs might otherwise crawl through.
