The part arrived in a timely fashion, I have subsequently in touch with the supplier concerning my attempts to match the piece to my engineered floor, they have been helpful. I should have purchased that part unfinished but the part sanded down well and I am well on the way to finishing the first part of this project

I didnt use this as a step in the end as I found an alternative without the raised profile but I used it to terminate by the steps and it worked a treat

After installing a laminate floor on my landing the stair nose was the finishing touch to an overall landing transformation. When varnished the beautiful oak grain came through.
