It Really Should be Easier and more Clear
I haven't wired this up yet, but I already have had issues. The connectors are your run-of-the-mill connectors you can buy at Lowes or Home Depot. Nothing says "homemade" like those connectors. There are high quality connectors that I use when I do my own wiring but these are not them.Second, the wiring if really a rat's nest. And, given those connectors, the come off easily and if they do, you better know where they came from or need to go to. I made up a diagram where I numbers all the connections and then put numbered masking tape tags on the wires so I could map them back if or when they came off. It would have been great if Pro-One could h ave done something like that.Although the wiring instructions that came with the unit are pretty straightforward, it would have been much better to know what each component was. i.e., flasher unit, starter breaker, headlight breaker ... or whatever. The only thing you can tell is wires go to and from some of them and while yo can pretty much "guess" about some of them, it would be better to know for sure what each component does.I had to raise my gas tanks to accommodate on my rigid frame .. and I mean by about two inches. Otherwise, that rat's nest of wiring gets crunched. You pretty much have to use their entire unit as is or get creative if, like mine, you already have the dash mount welded to the frame tube.Oh yeah .. the colors they refer to in the instructions don't always match up with exactly the colors in the harness ... does "red" mean red/silver"? What "long black wire"?I have pre-wired handlebar controls and I'm thinking about running those wires (with better connectors) directly to the Pro-One components. Otherwise I have a needless connection in the middle of a run and lots of unnecessary wire to be cropped off..You might want to use liquid electrical tape to glue everything in place once you get it working so nothing comes apart on the road. I'm thinking about doing it before just so it all stays together while I'm working.Good luck.

The best
This one win's hands down. I used one of these ten years ago and it worked great.Simple enough that even I could do it well. So, I couldn't find one for another project and paid big buck's. for something beyond my needs or abilities.Luckily I searched and found one for my next project. Ten years and don't think the price went up either. My 26 year old bike will have all new wiring and maybe a little less of it with more up to date hardware

Not a bad product, but no product support.
The media could not be loaded. Like I said, it’s not that it’s a bad product. It’s just basic and has some issues that no one has answers for. I called Pro-One and they said it was designed 20+ years ago and the people that designed it are long gone. So now I’m stuck with this and no one can tell me how (or exactly what to buy) to make my turn signals work properly. Watch video…
