I read through descriptions of various similar products (I knew my carefully sewn homemade towelling ponchos would be a hard act to follow) and decided on this one because:- I wanted it to be roomy enough to change under and wanted to be able to share it with my teenage children if necessary (having forgotten to pack theirs)- I wanted a kangaroo pouch pocket at the front to keep my hands warm when I couldn’t be bothered to change on the beach- for similar reasons, I wanted a long-sleeved poncho- I wanted a hood to keep wet hair dry- it needed to be thick enough to keep me warm after swimming, and not just as a cover-up to change underThis fitted the bill on all counts and I plan to make year-round use of it at my local gym which only has ONE cubicle.
