Pour L'Homme III Eau De Toilette Cologne Spray for Men, 3.4 Fl Oz

I asked Grok for a cologne that smells very similar to Ralph Lauren's Safari. This is what it suggested. It was not wrong. This cologne is very reminiscent of Safari for men. Seeing as how Safari has been discontinued and this stuff costs 1/4 the price, this is my new go-to for a dressier summer fragrance.

The smell reminds me of cologne I used in the 80's. Back then colognes had a distinct professional mans smell. Today, men's cologne is more flighty and kind of bubbles around, lots of acqua like smell, here today gone tomorrow, no real distinct character. The modern day cologne that is distinct is a put off on my skin and chokes me. I like this smell, can be loud on the onset spray (but does not choke me) but the melt down is the good, last a long time and remains gentle. I advise get a smaller bottle, it can get boring quite quickly and then it becomes a flat smell.

This is a great cologne and reminds me of the 90's sent. Great value.

Bought this just to give a bit of an alternative option to my usual spicy type scents - it's now become pretty much my favourite. Opening notes of Vodka with a dry down of bitter rose with hints of lavender - quite a floral scent but at the same time very definately masculine. It's quite versatile - I originally thought of it as an ideal evening scent for intimate occasions but now wear it in the office too as it is not too overpowering or 'night-club'. I've heard it referred to as dark & mysterious, but I'd just lable it as classy. Certainly not a teenager scent but not old-man either. (Which is handy as I am neither). Projection is on the low end of medium as it tends to stay close to the skin and tends to come in waves rather than a constant blast. longevity, for me it's time for a top up after around 3-4 hrs although there is still something there very close to the skin. The ladies seem to like it as I've had several compliments on this one - more so than any of my other scents and I think it's because despite the fact it's been around since the 90's it's quite unusal and so stands out amongst the sea of similar aqua/spice clones. Given the price I think it's a bargin and worth a blind buy if you can't find a tester first.
