But, without feedback there is no way for people to decide in advance whether it is a good option for them to buy, so I figured I'd share my experience with this product.I used to buy the "flushable" hygienic wipes, which of course besides the downside of being a recurring expense, I eventually learned about how harmful they are to municipal sewer systems, and plumbing when flushed, despite the manufacturers' claims. So, I started looking for alternatives. I purchased the Wipe Aide toilet paper moistener through Amazon, and using it achieved the goal of discontinuing use of commercially prepared flushable hygienic wipes. I have been using the Wipe Aide dispenser for about 2 years now, and it is still functional, although the pump mechanism is getting a bit worn, and the label is deteriorating, so it is probably time to replace it. I do agree with another reviewer who said it would be better if they used a label that didn't break down when it gets wet, as this is something that will be refilled many times with liquid. I didn't think it was enough of a design flaw to deduct a star, though.If you have a septic system, you should NOT be using a toilet paper that has high "wet strength", as it does not break down quickly enough, and you will probably need to fold multiple layers of your toilet paper before you moisten it on the Wipe Aide applicator for it to be of any use as a cleansing wipe. For those with municipal sewer systems that can handle using higher wet strength toilet papers, it doesn't take much paper to make yourself a sturdy moistened wipe.I came up with my own recipe for an economical, sensitive skin friendly cleaning solution to use in it, that works better than plain water, and isn't harmful to go down the drain:~40mL (~2 Tbsp) 86% commercially prepared distilled extract of Witch Hazel~20mL (~1 Tbsp) food grade vegetable glycerin (I use  NOW Solutions Glycerine Vegetable, 16-Fluid Ounces ~600mL (~20 oz) filtered or distilled water~5 drops pure lavender essential oil~10 - 15 drops liquid soap ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product works as advertised, but they need to make a better quality label. *by J***Z on Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2014* Wipe Aide works well, but I wish they would have made the product labels (which include refill instructions) out of plastic instead of coated paper. Every time I refill this unit, the labels inevitably get wet and are now starting to peel and look messy. Eventually the labels will likely tear and/or peel off. I have bought $2 bottles of liquid soap that have plastic labels, Wipe Aide should provide the same type of label for a $15 device that is supposed to last a lot longer than a bottle of soap. Another minor complaint about the label: When you place the cap underneath the bottle (to raise its height off the floor), the edge of the cap catches on the bottom edge of the label and contributes to it peeling away as well. Suggestion - if you end up making a plastic label, make it slightly shorter so that the cap doesn't damage the new style label.By the way, for those who complain about the toilet paper tearing when you get it wet, I'd suggest you try another brand of t.p. - Consumer Reports reviewed several brands that were quite strong, but still dissolved well in their tests (and therefore should dissolve well in your septic system).
