ViviLux 3-in-1 Red Laser Guide, Cordless Rechargeable Sewing Light, 20+ Hr

Very easy to use. Think the quality is good however I think the price could be lower.

I bought this item last year and it doesn’t work. The light is not bright. So I bought another one. This one works that I just purchased I’m sending a picture of the laser light to show you it isn’t bright at all. Can’t see anything with it. It’s a piece of junk.

This guide arrived on the date promised. It was well packaged. It was hard to place the base of the laser where it wouldn't be in the way of other buttons on my machine. I found that the light end has a tendency to wiggle. This was fixed with an extra piece of clear tape to hold the tip still. I think more instructions about placement suggestions should be sent. I also found I needed to oil the threads on the brass screw tip to keep it from binding.

I was skeptical but now I’m a believer. I was going to get to draw over 500 two inch lines and the thought of that was almost upsetting! I ordered the Viviux 3 in 1 red lazer guide and the lazer light changed my sewing life. I usually don’t leave reviews but everyone that sees needs this little jewel!

I bought it specifically to mount to my sewing machine to use when piecing quilt blocks. It’s a great idea, but it is difficult to get it to adjust and stay put. The flexible neck is too flexible... when I position it where I want, the neck wants to bounce back to whichever direction I moved it from. And trying to adjust the straight line laser to line up accurately is frustrating and is never accurate because of the overly flexible neck. Fine tuning is a pain in the butt... I get the laser pointed as close as I can, attempt to adjust the laser line, and... nope! It’s all wonky again because the neck won’t stay put. I think it would work great if the neck was a little more rigid. I may try wrapping it in wire or something to add a little more inflexibility to see if it helps. I do love that it’s rechargeable and that it’s portable (use it on a cutting table).

I didn't have time to test it out before my 30 days was up, or it would be on it's way back for a refund! Maybe mine was made on a Monday... I had troubles getting it charged. After initial charge, it died pretty quickly. 1-2 days later, when it was finally charged enough for the green light to come on, I was able to use it. Tried it again a couple days later and already dead. So, doesn't hold a charge, if not fully charged, the light may or may not come on. Also, a challenge to get the light to go exactly where you want it to go. Once there, it's good, just don't bump it, or you will have to reset it. I would say for the use I got out of it, it was worth maybe 9.00. Very disappointed. Great concept, just doesn't work great.

I absolutely love this product! It allows me to use the straight laser line for quilting and sewing and has a cross hair lens for design positioning in the embroidery hoop. Also, a third dot laser which I haven used yet, but would be great for stitch-in-the-ditch quilting. My product arrived missing the crosshairs lens, so I contacted the manufacturer directly. Dave at Harbor Sales, Inc. was very prompt in contacting me and had a replacement crosshairs lens shipped out to me ASAP. I am awed by such wonderful customer service and the desire on Dave’s part to ensure customers who purchase the Vivilux are taken care of and delighted with their product. I will definitely be a returning customer!

This will take a bit to get used to but it is pretty slick for sure! Very prompt service. Thank you!!

Actually haven’t used it yet. I bought it to use on my sewing machine, great for following straight lines! I’m sure there are other uses for it

I like everything about it except the wand that holds the light is too floppy and tends to move with the vibration of the machine. It is difficult to adjust because it is not stiff enough and won't stay where you put it. I wrapped the wand in jewelry wire and it is better.

Appears to be adequate, haven't used it yet, but did mount it on an old gooseneck lamp so it should be easily used. My purpose is for aligning machine embroidery, so the cross hair attachment is great.

I was so hopefully this would be the magic tool to help sew straight lines. No go, I tried and tried to get it to stay steady. It's going back.
