🔌 Plug into the future of convenience!
The Smart Plug is a Wi-Fi outlet switch that connects to your home network, allowing you to control devices remotely via an app or voice commands. It supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, features programmable timers, and is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, making it a versatile addition to any smart home.

A little bigger than the vendor images and a tip about 5 GHz
I like the unit. It was packaged nicely and seems well built. It supports up to 10A. The price is right. It is a little bigger than the vendor images. A three prong cord above it will be a tight fit. It will fit below if it is not too bulky. There is no way you could use two of these in one outlet. It was a bit painful to set up. My home wifi has the same SSID for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz signals. I had to log in to my router and temporarily disable 5 GHz, and repeat the process in my network extender. When I only had a 2.4 GHz signal I was finally able to use the app to connect to it. I was easily able to associate it with my Google Home but when I ask Google to turn it on it says it isn't set up. I can see it in the Google Home app and turn it on or off. It is odd that I can't speak and have it work. After all this I re-enabled the 5 GHz network in my home and the device still works. I think what is missing from the instructions is to disable 5 GHz during setup but after that you can have 5 GHz enabled.I would have given it 5 stars if the instructions were more clear about 5 GHz limitations and the vendor images were better at showing how close it is to the second outlet.

Really handy for the price
Using these in several smart applications to automate things. Used them outside for holiday light automation. Used them inside with a routine to shut off lights or to turn my daughters lizards heat lamp on/ off on a timer. Many different uses for convenience. I’ve bought 6 total but will likely get more as needed. Very reliable. App isn’t great but you can just use the Amazon integration and Alexa app.

No more paying for 10 hours of the tv and lights on all night.
I ordered these originally because my son always leaves his lights and tv on all night. But I ended up using one in my room as a simple timer to shut my tv off so, now, don’t have to get up to turn anything off! They were simple to set up and simple to use. You just plug it in to the wall, hold the button until the light flashes (you can actually hear and feel the click for those of you who can’t see) and add it to whichever app you are using to control it (I used my google home app already on my phone). Now I can either set it to timer (I used for mine to tell me to go to sleep) and I use the off switch (for my son because he is asleep already.) I actually want these everywhere. The bathroom would be awesome so I don’t have to worry about my daughter’s hair irons and in the living room so I can shut off my lamp after I leave the living room instead of walking through the dark or walking to the kitchen to turn on the light and having to go back.I wish I found these sooner! If you even think you want these, give them a try and see how much easier life is.

I have 4 of these smart sockets but i am only able to connect two.
Two of these connect without a problem in the smart life app. The other two I didnt attempt to use until now. When I did try to pair them I get a blinking red and purple at the power button. When I attempt reset the device (by holding the power button for 5 seconds) and pair it to my network using the iphone these two devices are not recognized by the Smart Life app. When I attempt to place these devices in DEF mode (with a slow blinking blue light, by holding the power button for 12 seconds) it just reverts back to the red and purple blink. I never get a slow blue blinking power LED. I am really disappointed. I suspect that I just have two bad devices.

"Alexa, start Wayne's Cofffee"
I bought these smart plugs to replace a early generation smart plug because the Avatar Controls Smart Plugs are supposed to work with Alexa—and they do! With the Avatar Controls app, set up was easy without need a hub. The App is simple, intuitive and easy to use. It's easy to setup up one or multiple start and stop times for a plug to be on for a certain hours or minutes on selected days of the week. The is a nice option to receive a test message when the plug turns on or off.The only missing feature that would be helpful to me is a timer to automatically turn off the plug after a prescribed number of minutes

Ensure your router is in the 2.4 mhz channel. Otherwise it won't set up properly
I put easy to install as a 1 because it i had to make sure my router was using the 2.4 mhz channel. My comcast router has a 2.4 and a 5.0. When you set this up with your iphone make sure you have your iphone on the 2.4 channel. You have to go into your router and rename the two channels so you can identify which one your on, otherwise they won't connect. I went into my router and renames my 2.4 network and my 5.0 network different names. If you call comcast or your router provider they will walk you thru the steps. Once I had my iphone on the 2.4 channel everything worked perfect.

Weak wifi signal reception at set up
I have bought these smart plugs before and have not had any issues connecting them to my wifi. The last two smart plugs I bought I had to put the plug in the room with my wifi router before it would connect. However once connected I was able to move it in my house where I wanted to use it.
