Looks cool, super compact, loud enough!
People complain this bell isn't loud enough. Well, I can't speak for the "original" but definitely the Luxe model with the metal striker makes a very solid, resonant ding. And the unique compact design is just great for the limited space on my drop bars. It does only mount in one orientation (I would prefer it flipped upside down because of where the cables are routed on my handlebars) but I was able to get it to work just fine. For sure you need to set it up so nothing's rubbing and deadening the sound but this should be possible on pretty much any bike, just order the right size. One minor (and surprising) issue -- and if you go to the Knog website and watch their video about the time they invested in designing the bell, about testing all different pitches and tones until they found the absolute perfect one, you'll laugh -- but these geniuses have either intentionally replicated the iPhone notification "ding" tone, or else it subconsciously seeped into their brains and they mimicked it by accident. Well, the only problem with that is, people don't necessarily realize you're a bike, and not a phone! So, it kind of necessitates a double-ding if you don't want to sound like a jogger who just got a text.

Gorgeous
First one was missing the hex screw. But they sent a replacement immediately and it works great. Such a sleek design.

Very nice, but finicky.
There's a lot to love about the bell. It's sleek. It's easy to install. It looks great. The sound is loud and distinct... when it works. Unfortunately, it's finicky and on some bikes. On my road bike, my cables run along my handlebar and ever so slightly touch the bell. That is enough to dampen the ding. To use it "effectively" I have to wedge my finger under my cable to move it away from the bell and then ding it with my thumb. Not convenient. Unfortunately, there aren't any good adjustments to mounting it on my road bike. It works great on my gravel bike, though. I wanted to love it. It would be perfect if it didn't have this drawback.

Beautiful Design, Poor Reliability
Looks great and the design is really sleek and well made. Fit on the bars was solid and the bell sound was clear and easy to trigger. Unfortunately the spring trigger bar flew off after hitting a bump, which made it useless. Tried contacting the company and got no response regarding the issue.

Large Luxe version is definitely the one you're looking for
tl;dr The large luxe version is plenty loud with a pure, cutting tone. I love it! The one to get is definitely the large luxe. I've read professional reviews indicating that the small luxe bell suffers from a design flaw, that the striker will bounce and dampen the resonance. The result is an unimpressive thunk! sound. The classic bells, both small and large, use a plastic striker that doesn't peal as strongly as a metal strike, nor is it as durable. Customer reviews on Amazon tend to align with these pro reviewers, as the more unfavorable reviews tend to correspond to the classic and the small luxe. Best to sick with large luxe only. In any case I have two other cheapo bells, both with plastic strikers. The Oi Luxe is louder with a longer ring than both. Before receiving my Oi I watched Knog's promo video in which installation was demonstrated. The video warns against driving the screw so far that the top and bottom of the ring meet. Space must be left to allow the top of the ring to resonate. In order to achieve this gap with a firm mount on my 25.4 mm handlebars, I used both the plastic shim and the adhesive rubber strip (both included), even though the instructions only demanded the rubber strip for 23.8 mm bars. I will not be contained! *rips shirt off*

Might work for some if you get a quality one
I'm somewhat apprehensive that actually mounting this on my bike, the quality of the Bell part is acceptable but the spring inside the striker is somewhat sticky and doesn't easily strike.. this is one issue that I have with it's loudness, it's Hit or Miss depending on how hard you hit the striker, like I said sometimes it binds up and doesn't ring as loud as it should!! At $30 you would think this would be in better working order versus a cheap $10 bill.. I only purchased it because I wanted to put it on a road bike and really wanted a narrow bell, unfortunately this is an acceptable. It seems easy to install and it's weight isn't bad at all

Works great! Easy to install!
If you know what you are doing when installing the bell it works fine. Looks great on my Fast Ripper named GOLDIE

Does not fit 31.8mm bars
This bell feels very well made and makes a beautiful, loud ringing sound that lasts a few seconds. I was pretty excited to put it on my road bike. I read a few reviews saying that this doesn't fit 31.8mm bars, but I figured these reviewers must have been trying to put this bell over their tape/cables. Well guess what? I put it on directly on my bar (which I confirmed is 31.8mm)--not over any tape, not over any cables, just directly on the bar...and yes you can shove it onto the bar and make it stay, but doing so will flex the underlying metal piece which renders the bell useless. The metal piece has springs on it that hold the bell up, so if you flex that metal at all, it pushes on the springs and basically prevents the bell from ringing properly. It makes a dull, dampened, inadequate tink sound that isn't passable for a bike bell. It simply doesn't work. I was in denial about this. I took it off and put it on literally 5 or more separate times. I tried rotating it, I confirmed no cables were touching it, I tried tightening the screw quite a bit, loosening it. And now I'm finally convinced that there's just no way this can work with 31.8mm (normal road bike) bars. And no, I don't have the wrong size, I ordered the large and right on the package is says it fits up to 31.8mm. It's a lie. They simply don't fit that size bar. How disappointing. But then I thought, hey, I could throw this on my mountain bike. That bike has 31.8mm in the middle but then tapers to some much smaller diameter. Turns out this doesn't fit the smaller diameter, even with the adapter, and you can't put it anywhere in the taper because it needs a consistent diameter in order to mount correctly. So I have no choice but to return it. If they made this in XL and it actually fit 31.8mm, I'd likely buy that and I'd expect it to be a great bell. Alas.
