I think I'd prefer an option to have it completely unassembled so I can just crimp the spade terminal inside the harness housing to my cable and not have to worry about a join midway along the wire that could potentially fail. If you search for and buy some standard (I think 6.3mm) spade terminals with the locking tab on the back you can use a screwdriver to remove the included wires and push your own wires in after crimping them.The cable included is copper which is nice knowning that often manufacturers use cheaper materials for the wiring.
