Nice Gadget
After putting in a set of batteries, we started dropping in the coins. I recommend putting a piece of fabric in the bottom otherwise itโs initially very loud until you get the whole bottom covered in coins. Once we hit $16.16, it momentarily stopped working. So I was about to write it off but then we have it another shot the following day and it started operating just fine again. Every couple days, we drop more in and itโs still working correctly. Up to almost $20 now. So, I think the key is to give the little fella a second chance, if he starts off at all glichey. Itโs a fun doodah that has been helpful in having a better understanding of how much a little bit of change adds up - good for kids and adults alike. And itโs just simply fun to plug coins in and see the little reader change. ๐๐ป

OK Money Jar - Mostly Just A Good Savings Visual
This coin-counting money jar is OK - not great, but not awful. I didn't have any problems with the lid not counting my coin correctly (a penny was always read as a penny, nickle as a nickle, etc.). But my biggest wish for this jar would be that it was easier to subtract the amount taken from the jar more easily. The jar was a good visual to keep on the kitchen counter to remind myself to save my coins, but honestly, I lost interest in trying to keep the total up to date, and my son is now using the jar to hold his little knickknacks.

It works great and the screen goes into sleep mode
Bought this for my son. It works great and the screen goes into sleep mode. Once you insert another coin it updates the total for you. My only feedback is that if you go to insert a coin and it doesn't drop in, but the slider moves over enough, it still counts the coin in the total, so pay attention if you rely on it for a precise count. Other than that, it's great.

Very happy with the ONE I did receive
I ordered TWO jars but only received ONE. Very happy with the ONE I did receive.Problem is - I have to children in the same family I intended on giving them to as gifts.Wouldn't order from that particular company again. Problem is - thinking that I wouldreceive the second one in a separate box, I inadvertently threw all of the paperworkout. Don't know of any recourse that I now have.

Accuracy Isn't The Best
I bought this for my six year old grandson. He has problems pushing hard enough on some coins so it sometimes registers twice or at the wrong value. I tried putting a handful of change in myself and there were errors on the ones I put in as well. You have to be careful with each coin, applying even pressure and then it takes too long.

Very poor quality. I still use it as a jar ...
The only reason I bought this money jar is because of its automatic coin-counting feature. But this jar does not show the numbers clearly. Instead of seeing a zero or eight, you only see a portion of the lines that make up the number. Sometimes you can't even determine what number it's showing. I thought at first that it might be the battery so I bought new batteries. But I'm still getting the same results. Very poor quality. I still use it as a jar to put my coins but I could have bought a simple jar for $3-$4.If you're looking for a coin-counting jar, this is not the product to buy. Very poor quality.

Happy with my coin bank!
I received my coin bank and I'm super happy with it. I've put in coin after coin and have not noticed any miscounts. My pennies were counted as pennies, and my dimes were counted as dimes! I was hesitant to purchase this item at first because of the previous reviews, but glad I went with my gut feeling. Two thumbs up!
