Edup Wireless Adapter XP,Vista, Windows-7, Windows 8 and Linux

I bought this in order to enable a wifi adapter in my desktop. The product is low cost and hence is "value for money". It was plug and play in Ubuntu linux which I use in my desktop. So, the installation was totally hassle-free (saying that, I dunno whether there is any problem in windows installation or not). The performance of the device is satisfactory. It detects wifi/hotspot signals. I had no need for placing my hotspot 150 metres away and testing signal strength so can not say whether it works in long-distance satisfactorily or not. But it does my job. Hence a 5 star.

So, I had a case of "experimentation gone bad". I opened one of my old laptops ... and removed the Wifi/BT card from that laptop and placed it somewhere ... and now I can't find it!I had bought another Wifi card from Amazon/a-competitor some time back, but that just rusted (unacceptable) ... so I needed a new one. I also didn't want the hassle of "insert this CD/DVD" because I don't have a CD/DVD in that laptop!I read a review here on Amazon that said this thing just works out of the box ... and I am happy to say that YES, it does indeed work out of the box! No issues at all.I am not running any "wifi signal analyzers" to figure out what sort of signal strength it has, but, in my tiny Mumbai house, if I walk from one bedroom to another ... the signal drops significantly. But, the laptop that this is plugged into is meant to be placed very close to the router ... so signal strength is NOT an issue.I did face a problem whereby Windows would refuse to identify it after waking up from sleep ... so, I just disabled the "disconnect network while sleeping" in Windows and now ... it (probably) works. Again, I have NOT experimented to confirm this. It's just a 300 odd unit from a no-name Chinese company. And it works. So, I am not going to complain.Overall, highly recommended, if you are like me and have pulled out and lost the Wifi card from your laptop.

took long time to deliver , works in win10 plug n play and no need of any drivers

I have ordered 3 adapters. None of them is working. They are not checking before sending.

I was a little hesitant before buying this product looking at the price but somehow I purchased it, I have been using it since past one week and its working absolutely wonders. It comes along with the driver CD and I would highly recommend to install driver only, then right click on the Wi-Fi signal at the bottom right of your screen and insert the password. Within few seconds you will see your Wi-Fi connected to this wireless device. Using the same procedure you can also connected through your mobile hotspot. I would definitely recommend this product.

Good to use

Well, out of many products that are available on this site, this product has really saved my ass. I had been facing wifi problem and about to change the internal chipset and I thought why dont just try different vendor products but none were working except this and Lexosys wifi adapter.So it works well with hp laptop having Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n [14e4:4365] chipset and if you are using Redhat distros like centos, fedora, or RHEL, it works perfectly without having trouble configuring the device driver or any configuration.Enjoy!

This is good if you have windows 8 or lower. But it does not support my windows 10 64bit pc. 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤
