Very happy with this lamp. What's really nice is that it's NOT long and skinny and it does not jut out into your workspace. I was concerned that a long & skinny lamp would be in the way when I'm on camera at my laptop. The actual lighted portion of the lamp is roughly 2.6 inches wide by 4 inches long, so it puts out the same amount of light as the long & skinny ones but from a more compact area.

This is my second. It's sleek looking and gives off a goof light. It's lightweight but the base is solid. It can be twisted to fit your needs.

Easiest desk light I've ever used, and with the goose neck, it's easy to adjust. Light touch is all it takes and it's bright. Also love that the bottom is weighted to keep from tipping over. Great for my desk! Highly recommend, thus far.

I really like the lamp. I purchased it so I can take better selling pictures for my eBay. I thought the arm would be much longer, based on the picture but it isn't. It's a standard desk lamp height. That is disappointing, but I have been managing better pictures since the light is bright and adjustable. It's a good little lamp... just don't be fooled by the picture.

I have a wewing machine that has only one light on the sewing area. I have literally tried 12 different lights to find one that fits my needs. I just could not justify purchasing, nor have the money, for another sewing machine just for a second light. I needed the light to be like a spot light and have a goose neck to flex into the areas I need. I had tried ones that attach on the machine and they were not bright enough. The scale of lighting is nice, and the bright is a perfect bright for me. Please note, my sewing machine is white and has a clear extended sewing table so the light bounces off both areas which I thinks adds to the brightness of the light. The only thing that is a slight trouble is the base of the light tips a little when the neck is completely extended. I am just using a slight weight on it for balance. I will be purchasing a few more as gifts for my sewing friends who need extra light. This is how much I love it. My quest is finally over and I hope you find the light the fits your needs.

This desk lamp is compact. I love the many light options and their east access. The gooseneck is highly adjustable.

SEEKING A QUALITY DESKTOP LAMP:After attempting to find a descent LED lamp from Walmart, Target, Office depot and Best Buy, I gave up and continued my search on Amazon. I wanted a solidly built desktop lamp that functioned well and looked nice. So I ordered the "Newhouse Lighting 9W Executive LED Desk Lamp w/ Touch Dimming Control & USB Charging Port, Black." Well, that turned out to be a huge disappointment. I ordered two of them for each of the two desks I use in my study room. The diffusers began to delaminate and become unglued, not on one, but both of my lamps. I returned them immediately since I was far from impressed from the build quality, which leads me up to this item.TROND HALO:-First Impressions: The packaging was descent in that the item was completely protected. Upon first inspection, I noticed the texture of the lamp was in a matte black rubber finish. I greatly appreciated the finish considering it looked much more quality and substantial than my previous experiences with painted aluminum and glory black paint that scratches at the slightest touch.-Lighting: The lighting for this lamp is on the cooler end of the spectrum. The lighting on this lamp is well thought out. There is a diffuser panel that does not have the led lights directly behind it but off to the sides like the Amazon Kindle. This significantly reduces harsh glare off of pages when trying to read under the lamp. Compared to my previous experiences of other desktop lamps, I would highly recommend this lamp for what it is. My only regret is that I did not purchase the other Trond model similar to this (TROND Halo 11W Versatile LED Desk Lamp" that allows for warmer lighting.-Input: There is a touch sensitive light switch that is very responsive. Worked well for me and allows for various levels of light output.I gave this item five stars because it's well thought out and designed to do exactly what it advertises with a great build and light quality.Update-March 13, 2016:Recall that I mentioned, ""My only regret is that I did not purchase the other Trond model similar to this (TROND Halo 11W Versatile LED Desk Lamp" that allows for warmer lighting.""So I did purchase the "newer model." I prefer this older model as it's actually brighter in it's white light ("work" mode as it's called on the newer model). The newer model has different variations of color warmth, but at the cost of reduced light output in the "relaxing" (yellow light) and "work" (white light like this 10w halo) mode; "reading" mode is the only mode that allows 11W of light on the newer model... so you are only running around 5.5 watts max on the new model in "work" mode that offers the same color light as this lamp. This is because there are two sets of led lights that produce a warm and white light in the newer 11W model. In either work or relaxing mode, you are only running one of two LED strips. It's only in reading mode that you have both LED strips (yellow and white) running and getting the full 11W of lighting.

After researching a replacement desk top lamp I settled on the Trond Halo 10W. I read the positive and negative reviews and watched the customer videos. One thing I did not find was the Warranty which I was instructed to contact the manufacturer for. No phone number, just an email address. I did not want to wait so I ordered the lamp.When the lamp arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Warranty is 18 months – see attached pic. Seller should definitely post this information in the listing.Lamp is well constructed with the base containing four pads so I have no issue placing it on my oak desk. The base and lighting cover are hard plastic with the stem being covered in a rubber like product. Some negative reviews mentioned the base turning to sticky goo over time. Maybe a design change has taken place because I do not see the base or lamp cover turning sticky.The lamp box listed a Rep in Germany and one in England with address and phone. For the US the ‘Manufacturer’ is listed as Deals Realm, LLC at 7056 Archibald Ave., Suite 102-355, Eastvale, CA 92880. No phone number. Using Google Maps I pulled up the address only to find that 7056 is an Asian restaurant located in a supermarket strip mall. Why no phone number for the US ‘Manufacturer’?Seems to me this may be the person importing the lamps as they are in fact made in China.I trust Amazon and for $30 this lamp is initially given a 5 Star rating subject to change later on.
