Made in Japan. Enough said!
I enjoy playing badminton with my kids in front of our house on the quiet street.I initially purchased a really cheap birdies but that turned out to be a total waste of money and time.I then purchased very expensive goose feather birdies but my kids destroyed them in no time as the feathers are very fragile. After doing some research, I purchased this one and never looked back.WHAT I LIKE:[+] As good as goose feather except much more durable[+] Center of gravity on the head that is made out of high quality cork for accuracy and flight speed[+] Storage tube[+] Made in Japan. Enough said!WHAT I DON'T LIKE:[-] Nothing. We also started to play Speedminton and we often use this shuttlecock with a wind ring on it so it's less resistant to the wind but won't fly as far as speeders!BOTTOM LINE:5 out of 5 stars. This is high quality badminton birdie that will give you most bang for your buck.Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

Best of the nylon shuttles
The Yonex Mavis 2000 nylon shuttles are the best Yonex or any other manufacturer of nylon shuttles have that are closest in resembling a feather shuttle. Note that you will still find differences on how the nylon shuttles differs from a duck or goose feather. If you want durability, you want nylon. Feathers just are not durable, plain and simple. And if you want a nylon that is "like" a feather, you want the 2000. The 2000 flies closest to the feathers and are more durable than feathers.I've played with feathers and nylons, good and poor feathers, good and poor nylons/plastic shuttles. What it comes down to is this...if you are paying, I prefer feather. If I am paying, I prefer the 2000. So...who's paying? Please click YES if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

What a difference Yonex makes!
The family and I have been making better use of our backyard lately (COVID-19 staying at home and all) and only had two shuttles that came with an old badminton set which we quickly wore out. Ordered these and they are such an improvement over the included shuttles. These allow for better accuracy and flight. We purchased the yellow shuttles and that was a nice improvement over the white shuttles we were using, as we could see them better. I bought these nylon ones over the feathered ones because I have an 11 and 8-year old who are just learning how to play and the real feathered versions would be overkill and too delicate for their rough play. I expect these to last...as long as we do not lose them over the fence to our neighbors.

Holding up to teenagers
My two teenagers are really hard on birdies--to the point where they wouldn't even last a game because my 15 year old would hit it as hard as he possibly could and they would rip. These have lasted many games, I don't think one has broken yet and we've been playing with them (one birdie) non-stop for weeks now. They are not however dog proof and can easily be ruined by your canine friends. :)The last thing about these is that you have to hit it pretty hard if you want it placed towards the back. They aren't really that lightweight so we like that because it takes more effort to hit it further--that's good when playing with teenagers. I would buy these again, even though they are a bit expensive.

80% flight of goose feather, 5 times the longetivity
Very good for novice/intermediate players who do not want to invest in goose feather birdies as regularly. I use them regularly for my warm up matches. I have used them for over 20 hours in total and none of them has had a tear yet. I feel they are a very good investment for regular badminton games. They don't behave as well as a goose feather birdie but the compromise is well justified in their longevity.

Balanced, Accurate and Long Lasting.
I've been playing badminton for several years now and have played with both Feather and Nylon shuttles from various makes including Yonex. Comparing Yonex 300, 350 Nylon shuttles to 2000 I can tell the difference these 2000 shuttles are much more balanced and are accurate. The fact that these are long lasting shuttles will give you most for your buck.I found these shuttles to be more accurate than the feather shuttles and the speed was just about right and very near to feather shuttles, these shuttles are quite light when compared to feather shuttles but the sturdy and quality cork keeps them in right place.A must buy for beginners, club players and I know several professionals use these shuttles too.

Durable but slow compared to Wilson
I'll start off by saying that I usually buy Wilson Championship birdies. Since it was winter, I wasn't able to find any in the stores and Amazon didn't carry them either so I decided to give Yonex a try. Here are the pro's and con's of both Yonex and how it compares to the WilsonPros:Durable - My badminton matches get quite intense with very hard hitting and these last quite a few games before tearing. They seem to last a bit longer than the Wilson ones, so point goes to Yonex.Price - When I bought these, they were the only ones I could find and at the normal retail price. Since both retail for the same amount I can't give this to either. It seems to be easier to find the Yonex online though.Cons:Speed - I like my birdies fast and it seems like the Medium speed Wilson are faster and go further than the Yonex Medium Speed. I'd give the point to Wilson on this one.Overall it comes down to speed and durability. I like the durability of Yonex, but if I had to choose I would get the Wilson birdies.

... shuttlecocks I have used these seem to fly the best (Yonex 300
Prefer feather shuttlecocks however in comparrison to other plastic shuttlecocks I have used these seem to fly the best (Yonex 300, Carlton etc.). Pf course, being plastic they seem to be lasting well and certainly last longer than feathered shuttleccks. Play a couple of hours a week and lasting well.

We only had one shuttle cock left and it was at least 20 years old so needed some new ones. They are excellent and just what we needed. Super service and price.

Personally I love 2000 than 200 or 500
