I like the taste
Ordered this for the whole food nutrient content as recommended by Moorely Robbins in his book: CU-re your fatigue. I add it to a shake and I look forward to it now. It has an earthy taste. I guess it depends how what all you mix it with, but mixes smoothly for me.

Good for Detox
I bought this product as recommended by THE Adrenal Reset Diet book to safely and easily remove toxins. I add it to my morning shake. You can definitely taste it but I've gotten used to it. I like that I can daily reduce my toxic load in such an easy way. If you use it for that purpose, start small and work your way up or it could cause significant fatigue.

This binds calcium in the intestines.
Great product I will use for life. I've had intestines removed and need something to help with calcium loss. I mix it with a couple of tablespoons of my "green drink" (made of fruits & vegetables) I make in my blender. It goes down well and it gains in thickness (due to the fiber) as I'm stirring it in. It's slightly granulated but less than salt or sugar and doesn't really taste like anything so I can put it in just about anything I like.

I use it for fertilizer and composting
I use it for my garden and use it with rice husks. It makes a great organic fertilizer and compost accelerator. It works well and doesn't need very much.

Great add-in
I use this as an add-in for my healthy throw together oatmeal. It tastes decent. No real recipe, but this is how I use the rice bran. Fill a sauce pan with the volume of water for the amount of cereal you want, add old-fashioned oats and raisins, stir and cook 2 min, add in rice bran, hemp seeds, flax seeds and chia seeds, in equal parts, cook until the mixture boils, remove from heat, add cinnamon, sweeten with agave nectar to taste. Serve with wheat germ.

Now Food Rice Bran - RANCID! - Seller Non Respondive
I could not figure out why I felt sick after eating a tiny spoon w/my breakfast. It’s because it’s RANCID! The one I bought previously was granulated & did not taste RANCID! However, I did like the fact that is was delivered promptly. As other reviewers stated the zipper does not close even after many tries. I asked the seller a question & did not get a reply but NOW products are in general good quality so I decided to order it. I get lots of NOW supplements & have no complains. Wish that the oat bran would be organic & they would list the percentage of Oryzanol Goood to lower lipid levels, & the amount of arsenic it contains. I also noticed this bran tastes sweet but no sugar is listed....?. I bought it along with the rice bran oil to see if they actually lower LDL levels. I noticed that when I was using rice bran oil & also sprinkling organic rice bran (another brand) on my morning yogurt & berries, my LDL went down considerably. If It goes down again it would point to the rice bran & oil although I take lots of other supplements & eat very healthy. I will edit my review in a few months. Will not buy again from this vendor, as it is definitely Rancid!!

This is a great wheat bran substitute for gluten free diets.
This is a great source of fiber. It is naturally sweet. I use it to make gluten free bran muffins and they are delicious.
